Sounds like two adults talking.  This clearly has no place in today's America.

That is absolutely the best response possible.
Warren is looking like a front runner more and more every day, well beyond her rock solid platform she tackles every possible controversy with absolute public relations skill.

wait until tomorrow night and if the moderators use it to attack sanders.

Until then, I'm skeptical.

Taking the high road after  your surrogates run to CNN is shady.

if they do try and attack Sanders with it, I wouldn't be surprised to see Warren call them out on trying to manufacture a controversy

I get that a lot of people on Fark share the same sentiment after Clinton's loss to Trump, but I still disagree and I'm a bit disappointed that Sanders is echoing those beliefs.  I hoped he wouldn't buy into that mindset because it wasn't being a woman that cost Clinton the election, it was that she was a grossly unpopular political figure for decades before she ran.

A person could theoretically say "Trump will attack a female nominee just like he did Hillary" - I hear people predict this all the time - and not for a second think they are calling all women unelectable and yet it could be heard exactly that way by the listener

Subby's fine here. That line is the entire issue. Warren wouldn't be releasing a statement if it weren't for that line.

/I do think this is being played up to drive a wedge, and I really like both of them, but that's what the story is.

Yeah, from what this says, it boils down to Bernie saying "I don't think America is ready to elect a woman president", not that women are unqualified to be president, that they're too stupid, too emotional, or anything like that.

Not what some people are trying to make it into, that's for sure...

If she wanted to be shady she would have left it as "some people said..." rumourmongering that the pundits love to obsess about.  Her response was exactly what was needed; yes we talked, and yes we disagreed on that point, but neither of us is going to stop doing what we need to do to stop Trump and get the US back to where it should already be.

In the context of "even Liz Warren doesn't want to expand on the conversation, because it's so goddamned farking stupid, and she immediately went on to note that they're on the same farking team *that exists within the team known as the Dem Party*", that's the entire issue? But in light of bigger matters it is kind of a big meh.

That person makes a good point too.

We don't know how he phrased it, and there is a huge difference between "I don't think a woman can win against Donald Trump's weaponisation of misogyny" and "I don't think a woman will ever win."

Still not a good sentiment to share, but it's not all black and white either.

Bernie Sanders is not a good leader. He's good at promising people who need stuff the stuff they need, which is the same thing Trump does. His plans are thin on details and the probability that he will be able to convince people to adopt his plans or give modest concessions to move his agenda forward is slim to none, considering his history in Congress.

TL;DR: Bernie Sanders is more of a brand and an ideologue and a populist than he is a public servant.

Will I vote for him if he wins? Sure. Do I expect that would get us anything except maybe at best a reversal of the most horrific Trump atrocities? No.

But let's be honest, at this point, that's all we really need. This whole primary is stupid and a pointless waste of energy and money. As far as I'm concerned, they should all just pool their money and then throw dice to see who gets on the ticket.

Um... She was unpopular BECAUSE she was a woman.

She was unpopular because she was a Clinton, not to mention all the heinous shiat she supported in the Senate and as SoS.  If she had her way we would have been at war with Iran when Dubya asked Congress to let him expand operations beyond Iraq.
