Tell me again how concerned Republicans are about election integrity.

Breaking election law should be a Capitol offense, punished by public hanging.

"We'll do the same things we imagined the Democrats to be doing! It's only fair." - GOP justification

I would like to take this time to point out that republicans are deeply concerned over election integrity.

Whether it happens in 1 or 5 years, Trump is getting dogpiled the minute he becomes a private citizen.

...Except in the universe where he's pardoned by President Gabbard.

2020-01-13 07:08:56 PM
And when loses the election, he'll claim that Democrats sabotaged the FEC so they could make him lose.

Eh as long as they have the enemies of america on their side, they are fine with having none of that.

/nato should help the democrats win this one

Don't laugh!
No, really, don't laugh. That's at least 15 years in the gulag.

When you have the power to hamstring the oversight committee in charge of overseeing your corrupt ass, the system is set up wrong.

Well, criminals generally don't go out of their way to make sure the local PD is fully staffed and funded, so I can't say that I am shocked. My surprise is saved for the fact that trump can just refuse/ignore the issue and it goes unaddressed. There should ALWAYS be a default method in place. Perhaps the Senate is the answer, but then not when Yertle owns it.
We really need to take the Senate back.

The problem is: there aren't enough commissioners to form a quorum to determine if there should be an investigation.

/ Awful hard to hang someone if the judge can't actually call for an investigation.....

Just wanted to clear that up.

Sigh...
Let's start the rally's.
When shall we all meet in the front of the city hall in the nearest city of at least 50,000 people do we can finally express our outrage?

Wait...what's that?? The new season of Dancing With A Bachelor is on...
Sorry..I don't think I can make the rally...

It's only a matter of time before they disband the Senate leaving the regional governors in direct control over their territories.

I get it man.  I'd like to see election governance and monitoring be strengthened and hardened so this problem ends. But any sort of election law broken should be punished to the extreme in defense of democracy.  Hopefully we can get people with enough spine to make it happen.

Sounds like a plot point in a really bad movie.

Let me guess, they defunded or refused to a point replacement members to the investigative body of the FEC and now they don't have enough people in order to performed their mandate. How close did I get?

Checks article.

Goddamnitsomuch, I hate it when I am right about important things like this. This asshole will probably win re-election because of his rampant cheating and stacking of the deck in his favor. I don't ever want to hear another GOP shill try and sell us a line about them carrying about the Integrity of Elections or the sanctity of the vote or anything of the sort. The GOP is little more than a criminal Enterprise now.

Trump is not the little cartoon dog. Trump is the cartoon arsonist's assistant laughing gleefully as a bunch of cartoon democratic voters are on fire.

When ever you hear a Republican talk about small government what they are saying is gutted regulatory agencies and the IRS so they don't have to follow any rules or pay any traxes.

They want the rest of the big dollar government spending.

You can't get in trouble if there is no one to enforce the rules.

The FEC has been on fire for a good long time now. Remember when Colbert ran for president as a joke and had his election lawyer (and former FEC chair) Trevor Potter reveal all that?
