And you just know the Chiefs are going to a nail biter lose next when points are hard to come by, and Andy Reid can't manage the clock at the end of the game.

They seem to have a fetish for huddling.

It's not like they scored 120 points. They don't have the fireworks for seven touchdowns? I'm surprised -- it's not an unfathomable score.

This.  The stadium crew was left with only snakes and sparklers.

Well, they spoil so quickly - don't want to be left at the end of the season holding a bunch of sour fireworks.

But Eric Bieniemy is completely undeserving of being hired as an NFL head coach.

But if that means he stays with the Chiefs as OC for a couple more years, I'm fine with it.

Oh sure! Selfishly as a Chiefs fan, I love that Mahones and the rest of the offense are keeping the offensive coordinator who's coached them to their most prolific output in seven seasons. Let's not kid ourselves and say Bieniemy's unqualified to lead a team. He's done more with the role than either his predecessor (Nagy) or his predecessor's predecessor (Pederson) did, and they had no trouble getting teams to sign them as head coaches.

Maybe if Chris Berman hadn't given him that stupid nickname, he'd have a HC job by noe.

Reminds me of another incident...

In a 1975 game against the Oakland Raiders, the Chiefs won 42-10, prompting Warpaint to circle the field for each of the Chiefs' six touchdowns. Raiders head coach John Madden, following the loss, quipped that "We couldn't beat the Chiefs, but we damn near killed their horse".

That said, was Warpaint running yesterday, and has anyone checked on the horse today?

No Warpaint yesterday.
Couldn't see the flyover (the clouds weren't THAT low).
The firework launchers are preloaded and secured before the game. I guess they only have tubes for six TDs. Might want to bump that number up next year?
There were very very few Texan fans. After the visitor invasions by Packer and Viking fans, that was appreciated.

This wasn't the first time this has happened to Mahomes. He was on the wrong end of this game: https://www.espn.com/dallas/college-football/story/_/id/11774126/tcu-horned-frogs-fireworks-scoring-82-win

GMs care about arrest records from three decades ago when hiring people? Really? Let's run through the laundry list of awful behavior teams haven't cared about when hiring people:

* Rick Slate had no trouble getting hired by the Raiders despite being the subject of five separate orders of protection in the prior decade.
* Paul Spicer had no trouble getting hired by the Buccaneers despite being the subject of two separate orders of protection, one of which was granted.
* Mark Collins had no trouble getting hired by the Jaguars despite being the subject of an order of protection less than a year before taking the job.
* Skyler Fulton had no trouble getting hired by the Buccaneers despite being arrested for domestic violence less than a decade prior to getting the job.
* Matt Patricia had no trouble getting the Lions' head coaching job despite being charged with aggravated sexual assault more than two decades ago.
* Vance Joseph had no trouble getting the Broncos' head coaching job despite allegations of sexually assaulting two trainers while he was a coach at Colorado less than two decades prior to getting the job.
* Tom Cable had no trouble keeping the Raiders' head coaching job despite allegations of domestic violence from two separate women while he was their coach.

If GMs are going to stop hiring coaches with arrests and charges for violent crimes in their background check, they need to go a lot further than just not hiring Bieniemy to a head coaching job.

And he broke an assistant coach's jaw.
