So the media slept through the 2016 Election, the complaints of women against Trump and their counter-complaints of intimidation by the Trump side, the 5th Avenue bullshiat, and the last three years?

"You know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart? Right? With spies and treason, right?"

Considering this is the first time we've had one as President, no, I don't, but I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Trump 2019: We should shoot people that aren't loyal!

Trump 2021: No, you see, this isn't what I meant at all!

Some day, we'll hopefully realize that Republicans are not good faith participants in civil society, and act accordingly.

"You know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart? Right? With spies and treason, right?" This was a clear reference to execution

It's been a long time, but it reminds me of Basic Instinct. "How would I be the murderer if I wrote a book or whatever when I hear this "How can I be the treasoner when I'm advocating the death penalty for treason".

You don't have to cram it all into the impeachment charges, just enough to get him out. You can leave the rest for the criminal justice system.

Donald Trump has zero regard for the rule of law as it applies to himself and his slimey band of racist cronies.

Trump and Miller have got to go.
Miller's neo-nazi fanbase is keen on using violence to get their way. This is why nazis ought to not be in the White House.

The rule of law clearly doesn't apply to Trump, so he does not need have regard for it.  Just as I have no regard for giant pink unicorns that live on the dark side of the moon.

Incitement to Violence... doesn't he always do that at his Personal Klan Rallies?

Witness Intimidation happens pretty regularly on Twitter as well.

I would love to someday learn that the whistle blower was actually one of the first five witnesses.

I mean, if I had something to share and yet needed to preserve my job, I would toss a tip and then be all wide eyes and innocent to my boss.  The IRS gets lots of tips from low level financial service workers, turns that into audits, and pays out when the audits recover funds.

Not that I know anything about working at cross purpose with a useless manager, hell bent to wreck everything.

The fact that a filthy traitor like Trump is still alive is all the proof you need that all his "deep state" lies are just that.

I mean seriously. We're supposed to believe that there's an all-powerful unaccountable government-inside-the-government with Kingsmen-like powers... and that it wouldn't have "dealt with" the likes of Trump long ago? When his active destruction of America's government and power are a direct threat to them (and everyone else, but especially them)?

In other words, the same as the disproof of the "ermahgerd killary murders people" trash.

Well one of his most devoted sent pipe bombs to his enemies and another was planning on gunning down his enemies. And those are just the ones I can think of, thats what makes me worry for the coming year and how many of this people will snap.

If I were part of a cabal of Deep State operatives who subvert Administrative Power for private agenda and profit this bumbling fool would be the ideal person to have in charge. He personally has no capacity to supervise and has appointed incompetent boobs to head all the various agencies, boobs who are too busy trying to avoid the Emperor's wrath to do any supervision of their own. They've further distracted Congress so that there's no oversight coming from there. This is a golden opportunity to run completely unchecked.

Yes, I remember what we used to do to traitors. We should start testing out really strong ropes in case there's an extra-fat hog of a traitor we have to hang.

Unfortunately in this case, "Incitement to Violence" isn't a crime.  It is "incitement to imminent lawless action" with a heavy emphasis on the imminent part.

Umm....

U.S. Code §373. Solicitation to commit a crime of violence

(a) Whoever, with intent that another person engage in conduct constituting a felony that has as an element the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force against property or against the person of another in violation of the laws of the United States, and under circumstances strongly corroborative of that intent, solicits, commands, induces, or otherwise endeavors to persuade such other person to engage in such conduct, shall be imprisoned not more than one-half the maximum term of imprisonment or (notwithstanding section 3571) fined not more than one-half of the maximum fine prescribed for the punishment of the crime solicited, or both; or if the crime solicited is punishable by life imprisonment or death, shall be imprisoned for not more than twenty years.

IANAL, but based on the laws I could find, I would say that it is a crime.

Someone with an actual GED in law can probably correct me, but to cross the legal standard and have an opinion or statement become a crime it has to be direct, credible, and often have material component.

So if I say to you, "We should rob that bank" it wouldn't be a criminal conspiracy, I would have to make material ends towards that like purchase some safe cracking tools or something.  Generally threats have a similar hurdle of needing to be both direct and credible.

I don't remember it exactly, but he said something that may have crossed that line at a campaign rally before he was elected.  But his usual verbal diarrhea is usually vague and "opinionated" enough to not be illegal, although obviously highly unethical.

The criminals HAVE run unchecked, mostly. For the majority of them, they have been caught in a scandal, and resigned their post, but have had no legal repercussions, as tomorrow brings another scandal and the media just goes "hey, squirrel", and moves on to the newest outrage. The lot of them are just hoping to stay under the radar until the statute of limitations runs out.
Things could change if the courts decide that subpoenas must be honored. A lot of financial records need to be looked at closely.
