Didn't one of them have *Do No Evil* or something similar as a company slogan?

Couldn't be twitter they've been evil since day one. (they breed stupidity in the masses)

Why is that evil?

Companies sell advertisment space.  That doesn't mean they endorse whatever people are buying.
