Are there no pidgeons?  Are the homeless there so we'll fed?  Perchance, a woman who just accidentally broke such a plate will see this and thank the Lord for giving her a replacement.

If the animals aren't touching it, that might give a clue why it was abandoned in the first place

One day in winter I was eating a handful of Froot Loops as I was heading out the door. As I grabbed my keys I dropped the cereal on the ground. Being a lazy, merciful god, I left them for the birds.

Two months later, after the snow thawed, they were still there. They were the same shape and color and hadn't been touched.

I stopped eating that stuff immediately.

It disturbs me a little that this is the first I'm hearing of this, considering it's only four blocks or so from my apartment. Then again, considering some of the art pieces in downtown Kitchener, the only unusual thing about "Abandoned Snack" is that it's not made of concrete.

Call it a Garfunkle. Picasso fakes are a dime a dozen.

This is a gross, so worth about $1.20, taxes and Southby fees not included.

Okay, MaudlinMutantMollusk, you are clearly in a bad space today, but the Barenaked Ladies are triple platinum, are you?

You know what, maybe we all need some space, to pull the knife out of the back of the most celebrated Canadian alt-rock band of the mid-90s, you selfish, jaded ass!

Look, I know very well what song everyone was referring to, and I went a different direction. It was a Simon and Garfunkel joke.

Honestly, that is less ridiculous than other things I've seen at art museums.

I mean, OK, if that is art, then, Home Depot is the largest art museum in most cities.

Abandoned Snack (2019)
Macaroni and sundried tomato on ceramic
Unknown Artist

The bold use of curvilinear shapes and smooth textures are reminiscent of pasta works by Kraft, Boyardee, et.al. The negative space of the plate offers a saucy contrast to the broken colors in the tomato-flecked mounds of tubular carbohydrates. The finest example of such work since "Noodle Descending a Staircase".

If you watched the local news on old timey cable, you would have heard them direct you to their website to read all about this artwork.  Why do I watch the news when they just drop a hook for the story and then tell you to go read it yourself?  Maybe it's time to cut the cable.

I'm glad the crossroads were King and Water, not King and Weber because that still leaves you having to ask "Which one?"

Civil engineers/city planners in Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge are terrible.
