Didn't they say that last month? Or was it the month before?

I'd like to announce that I'm going to stop stealing office supplies on November 18th. Will my work throw me a party?

Stealing tips to cover wages is a time honored tradition in the food service and delivery industries. It's literally enshrined in many of our minimum wage laws.

You have to be pretty damn greedy to manage to stir up shiat about the issue in 2019.

whenever I order from doordash, I set the tip to 0 and give the driver cash.

they should not be rewarded for this terrible practice.

instacart does this too.

I seem to recall McDonalds getting in trouble for taking their employee's tips back in the early 70s so they enacted a "No Tipping" policy and used it as a marketing strategy. Surprised Door Dash hasn't considered this strategy since it would accomplish their goals of both simplifying financial transactions and keeping employee remuneration as low as possible.

They're desperately trying to make the numbers add up without skimming tips.  It isn't working.

It's a great approach, and one I used to use when dining out, as well. Lately, though, it seems like I always only have no cash or nothing smaller than a $20. Anyway though I only order from grubhub (but trying to cut down because $50 saved is $50 earned and farked if I'm able to exercise any self restraint when clicking on appetizers).
