Reminds me of this old local radio transcription that I unearthed a few years back. It was an acetate copy of a series of interviews with employees of a very large and longstanding greenhouse company (which is still in business!) from the early 1950's. The oldest employee they talked to was describing how at the turn of the (20th) century they used to load up horse-drawn wagons full of flowers, and haul them down to the railroad where they'd be shipped in wood-and-horsehair cold storage cars up and down the East coast. Always fascinating to hear a voice or see a moving face from generations ago.

"The Thinking Man's Monster".

If you're in the Pac NW, the Maryhill museum near Goldendale, WA (it's Sam Hill's former mansion on the Columbia) has a pretty decent Rodin collection.  They used to hang out back in the day, along with the Queen of Romania - they were like jet-setters of the day.  Hill built the Stonehenge monument nearby as a WWI memorial.

That's cute, Subby.

But now you have infuriated every nit-picker, know-it-all and autistic spectrum person on the web.

The four TMN are: Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael and Leonardo. None of them are named for French artistes.

I leave you to your fate.  Your horrible, nerdy, geeky, pimply fate.

Fun fact: Turtles carry salmonella. If you must have contact with them, use full body protection.

This is really cool. You can actually see 4 out of the 5 painting/sculpting.

All kidding aside that was awesome to see.  Seeing how effortless their craft was along with the piano playing was making it a little dusty in here.

Didn't you watch his autobiography that talked all about it.

I think it was called "The Color of Monet"

Some kind of body protection, or shell, if you will.

Sacha Guitry himself was an enormously productive and creative man. Writer, playright, actor, director, wit, film maker, his credits go on and on. I haven't watched the boxed set I have of his work, though:

Hardest working man in Paris, as they say in Hollywood.

It would be cool if you owned any of the works shown in the video ... besides the fact that they're all probably worth millions.

Not sure why, but Rodin, looking over at the camera and grinning with flakes of marble caught in his great bush of a beard made me absurdly happy.

2019-08-22 02:02:48 PM
And the most amazing thing was they used only black and white paint.

Watching him wince every time a marble chip hit his eye would make OSHA absurdly unhappy.

It appears to be a "real" protest. https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-34465910 There are lots of Google results. However, I put "real" in quotes because "...the demonstrators acknowledged they were being ironic ." So...are they actually upset that the museum is displaying Renoirs, or are they just being edgy for fun? I actually don't know. I'm not going to read a second article about it.
