Dragonforce's bassist.
The unanswered question is "Why".

So at first I was like "that's a shame" and then I realized when I heard them through shiat like YTMND he wasn't even part of the band yet. Motherfarker

Will he still need to lift his glasses and say "It is I, LeClercq?"

Speaking as a bassist who doesn't dig metal, does this matter at all? I mean, 99% of metal I've listened to, it's just root notes and the occasional run through whatever mode their working in, along with being in lockstep with the bass drum.

Metal guitarists almost always impress me, even if the music is just technical wankery, but even as a bass player myself I have trouble hearing anything distinct about the basslines.

Not being dismissive, I'm genuinely baffled.

I want to like Dragonforce but they never had a great singer.  Focus also seems to be on speed and not great song writing too.  There's just better power metal to be had:

Yeah, stuff like that is fantastic. But its Definitely part of that aforementioned 1% of metal with awesome bass.

That is really good though.
