Whew, found the thread!

I'm so hoping next year I'll finally get to go to Sonoma. I'm only an hour and half to two hours away but this year still no money and no transportation :(

I know we got tired of DW, but he's still got more personality than any of the announce teams on the other networks (except for Joonyur), and he's had a helluva great career.
I'm not sad to see him go, but I'm glad he's leaving on his own terms.

Except he doesn't annoy me as much as he seems to annoy some people. He's just mildly irritating.

Remember, this was less than 2 years ago.
Wildfires have become a regular part of our lives in the last few years, and they keep getting bigger, burning in places that are historically untouched by them.

I had helped someone at my credit union last year that had came in to change his address and I saw that he had lived in Paradise. It broke my heart when he was telling me how all of his livelihood was destroyed in the fire. I just can't imagine what they all went through and especially the ones that lost their loved ones in the fire.

OK. I wasnt going to mention that the dips are the reduced fat varieties, and that I also have a selection of hummus's.
I may not be as non healthy as you may think.  Just 49% unhealthy.

It'll be interesting to see who runs which pit strategy

I want to see them try to run the hairpin by staying on the drag strip. That would bring the chaos.

Did Byron watch the Indy race, and decide to pull a Rossi today?

Yes, yes, of course Gordon is in love with the 24 car.

Trying to explain why NASCAR attendance is town to my sister. How long do you have to discuss??

2019-06-23 03:50:11 PM
My one (well, biggest one) complaint about the stages is that the laps between count. They shouldn't. Like today, in theory it's 20 laps, 20 laps, 50 laps of racing. But in reality, it's 20, 16 or 17, 46 or 47 laps.
It's a little thing, but that's always been part of stage racing in the past.

No way! It's just about my birthday, too! Only 8 2/3 months away!

see, I actually like the stages from a scoring perspective, particularly if they're going to insist on the "playoff" format

I completely understand not liking the mandatory yellow that comes with them, or the parade laps counting

You too! I go to Chicago's race for my birthday sometimes, since that's where I'm from. Not always, it's an easy race to attend, but kinda boring. Still, nothing beats ANY NASCAR live.

low and to the left?  what are they talking about?

'Rowdy' is a good racing nickname. It also fits Kyle's personality pretty well.

'Candyman', on the other hand, makes it sound like Kyle drives this away from the track:
