(TLC)   The TLC show Sister Wives. How come they do not have a show 'Brother Husbands'? THAT would at least be interesting for the first year. Discuss   (tlc.com) divider line

I'd watch a show called The Fist Year.  No question.

Eh, because polygyny is vastly more common than polyandry, and while some might wanna pretend that polyamory is some progressive, equal opportunity thing, biological reality has a weird way of insisting otherwise?

Probably more common due to religious tradition, but I suspect there are enough women interested in brother-husband relationships out there to at least build a one-off episode around. I don't watch the show, but this season's promos featured the husband in one couple saying he's looking for a sister-wife addition because "I want more love," by which he meant new pussy. Do you really think there aren't some married women out there who wouldn't enjoy some new, guilt free cock if they could get TLC to help them arrange it?

I believe we would also accept "Fister Wives".  But that might be taken already.

Religious tradition (or any other cultural factor) isn't going to explain a pattern that exists across societies and over history -- that where there's polygamy, it's almost always polygyny.

As to whether you could find some woman that wants a "brother-husband" scenario, oh sure. All kindsa people out there. But if we're just going off of what anthropology tells us about the social and environmental conditions that encourage those sorts of arrangements, the sorts of men you'd find in a first-world, modern country that would also want to participate...eh, they maybe wouldn't be the most watchable sorts of people?

Yeah, that's a sufficiently delicate way to put that.
