For a document that completely, totally 100% exonerates Trump, the GOP sure is doing a major dick dance to keep it under wraps.

I'm starting to think there's more to this investigation than we know about.

Just protecting the House and the public from the illegal spying, illegal lies and illegal coup. For your own good. You can't handle the illegality.

I expect there to be some obvious error like leaving in information that is beneficial to Trump but is also totally classified to completely discredit the redactions on the whole thing.
These are not very bright guys.

not to be snarky, but what leads you to believe this? didn't Nadler say this was going to happen anyway? that they were giving Barr a chance... who could stop them from doing this?

"Experts have been saying look for anywhere from 50% to 70% to be redacted."

Who are these "experts?" Oh...sorry, this is what passes for a news story these days and nobody cares who the sources are. They've been so right so many times.

Fox News claims to have experts.  How come you're saying that only Fox News can have experts?

It's simple really. He's cutting out everything that makes his boss Trumpy look bad. Which is 80% of the document. The things taken out are for national security.. ie covering Donald's disgusting pale ass.

Then, they will have to provide one with an iron clad chain of custody to set the record straight.

After hanging onto anything Trump says (including birtherism & cheering NY Muslims on 9/11) now you're concerned about proper sources?

Well, If we're being honest, seeing the unreacted report will probably be incredibly damaging to the stability of the nation.

Honestly, I my biggest disappointment in all of this is that we didn't flood the streets as soon as Barr said, "There's no collusion, no obstruction but you can't see the report for yourselves."

Nobody really believes that the Department of Republican Justice is going to let us see the full report and frankly, I'd be surprised if the  Supreme Republican Court did anything about it.

If what is happening now is "stability" then it needs to be disrupted. Dead people are stable as shiat, but nobody's going to forego resuscitation just to maintain that kind of stability.

I like how a report that proves he didn't do anything wrong with a foreign nation in regards to our Nation and national security needs to be so heavily redacted. After all, what super secret things could they have been doing if none of this stuff ever took place and never happened?

Great, you're going to get Trump started on "George Washington and his 18 angry Democrats!".

In a couple of years there might be another group of people in charge of that document. If they feel like it, it can be released then and further actions taken, and the current obstructionist can only tweet about it. But by that time there's a lot more getting revealed.

The report is coming out. It may take a while, but all of Piggy's shiatholes and all of Piggy's hacks can't put Piggy back together again. The fact that they are so desperate to keep it hidden is a blinking neon arrow pointing at the certainty that it has some really bad stuff in it. The fact that 80% of the people want the whole thing released means it *will* come out. The political price of keeping it buried will be too high.

Squeal, pig.

Fine.  I don't care if the public release is that redacted.  However, I find it completely unacceptable for my reps to not see the unredacted report.  So fark this bullshiat!

Yes, in the same way that reading a mystery novel with 50-70% of the words removed gives you the gist of the book.

Not all of "your reps" are cleared for classified intelligence I bet. Even on the Judiciary Committee, there are probably only 4 members who qualify to see that bullshiat...

Even still, IF they see it it'll be in closed-door secret viewing of the report for a limited amount of time only...with no copies available for release and/or no note taking allowed.

I get that there are elements that need to be kept confidential. All I want is a congresional committee with clearances to have the full report. Then redact away, I just want to at least have some bi-partisan eyes on the difference between the two.

Fark that!  The law needs to be changed then.  They cannot do what the GOP did with that idiotic report they produced where people could only see it in some "vault" for like 20 minutes.  It's supposed to be 400 pages.  This is pure, obstructionist nonsense.

If Barr runs true to form, he will redact 50%-70%.

Then he'll lie about the contents of what he redacted from the report. https://www.justsecurity.org/63635/barrs-playbook-he-misled-congress-when-omitting-parts-of-justice-dept-memo-in-1989/
