Actually, he has a point.  There is no reason to cut into an entire show.  And they rarely do that here, and when they do it is massively annoying.  You don't need the whole screen for a weather alert.  We just had one while I was watching sports this weekend and the tornado/thunderstorm/lightning warnings were scrolled across the screen.  And if you wish, give a warning sound.

There is no benefit to having an actual talking head at a desk saying the same thing you can scroll on the bottom in text.

If want to watch Tiger again after it already happened, I have a solution for you. It's this magical thing called the internet. Just go to this website called google.com & type in Tiger Woods 2019 Masters. Chances are you can find this immediately & you can watch it whenever you want.

Or just watch ESPN or visit ESPN.com, I guarantee you'll see it within the first five minutes.

You could literally watch the entire Sunday round for free on the Masters website. Not even one of those pesky subscription things necessary.

Except when there immediate risk to life, and then interrupting a golf rerun seems like a good way to get people's attention.

Anyone who thinks a game is more important than peoples lives should take a nap on the train tracks

==========================================

The masters website is a steaming pile of crap.  The video isn't even a video, according to the 'network' traffic tab on Chrome it's like 40 simultaneous video streams all at once and it used 150% of my cpu (I still don't know how that's even possible).

On the other hand, Tornado Warnings save lives.  I don't care if it was live, you take that shiat off and put on the warning.
