Subby is confused by the whole "tax" concept. Fits right in with many a fark subby.

Yeah. Because a few donations can obviously equal the proper taxation of an entire.....

Yeah take your talking point and shove it subby

I've sent the IRS too much money, Subby.  They dropped the extra right back into my bank account.  I didn't even have a choice.

2019-04-15 11:41:04 AM
Well, now that Subby has been properly dealt with, what should we talk about?

Anyone have exciting Easter/Passover plans for this weekend?

Oh look, it's this utterly moronic talking point again.

Hey, dum-dums. Stop being dum-dums. It's not funny, and it's not cute. Act like an adult.

Whow whow whow. Someone who isn't a screaming conservative using "Patriotic"? What insanity is this?

The Articles of Confederation made America fund its activities using voluntary taxation. Nobody ended up voluntarily paying taxes. The country literally went broke, not the fake kind of broke every "conservative" argues we are today. The Constitution gave America the power to fund its activities using mandatory taxation, and the country has never gone broke since then (other than maybe when the Great Depression led to abandonment of the gold standard).

Seriously.  Insert gif of point flying over subby's head, here.

I think subby has probably been adequately dunked on already, but I'll go ahead a kick the corpse a few times. "If you like taxes so much, you can just give the government more" is one of the dumbest, most disingenuous responses ever. Congrats on knowing nothing about economics.

Are you guys telling me that token gestures aren't a good way of dealing with systemic problems?

I'm just here to dog-pile on subby.  Subby, you moron.

This is an especially stupid submission on Tax Day; the day that tens of thousands of people who itemize are doing exactly what the submitter is suggesting.

Im going to the store to write profanity on the eggs in white crayon.

Subby must not want to do the patriotic thing and pay their fair share. There must be a ~800 million dollar casino failure they want to get reimbursed for on our dime.

2019-04-15 11:58:26 AM
My mind immediately went to: "yaaaas, tax me daddy".

/ don't look at me in that tone of voice, I've been hanging out on the weird side of the YouTube.

I got some people knocking on my door asking if I wanted to come celebrate the crucifixion. I said no thank you, I'm making pasta.

Subby used a troll headline and got a green for it, because mods love headlines that will prompt multiple comments telling subby what an stupid tool subby is, because comments is comments.

Subby's statement is even more stupid than saying "If you want; to build a wall/increased defense spending/universal health care then write a check."

I've always wanted to answer something like that with "Sure! But as a Jew, I might not be cheering for the same reason."

But I've never wanted to come off as that much of a jerk. But deep down, I really am.

fark off subby, that's the lamest argument in the world.

2019-04-15 12:15:36 PM
The point is not individual tax amounts, it's that a whole economic class is being under-taxed, and it's the one that can afford taxes the most.  And in many cases have benefited the most from the things taxes pay for.  It's a systemic problem, not individual to these particular rich people.

I will gladly help them emulate their Savior by crucifying them; but, if they are just weak-faithed poseurs, then not interested.

It was a couple with their daughter. But I think they'd have objected.

You know, if you aren't taxed more by the government and are concerned about things you could always voluntarily build schools, hospitals, and public facilities, donate funds for infrastructure improvement projects, start charities to support single parents, provide housing subsidies directly to low income earners, and most importantly - you could just use the tax savings to pay your workers more.

Bunch of liars - "I made $100 million last year and only paid $5 million in taxes, I'd be happy to pay $30 million more"  But ask them to surrender 30 million in salary to pay their 25,000 employees $100 bucks more a month and suddenly you're talking crazy.
