Aptly named "The Highest Court in the Land", the U.S Supreme Court's basketball court sits on the fifth floor of the United States Supreme Court Building, which is much higher than the actual courtroom, located on the fourth floor.

"Much" higher as in an entire floor higher?  That's crazy higher!  Tough to believe.

If there is a disturbance during court, a court justice would send a Marshal's Aide upstairs to kindly remind players of the rules on court days

I'd pay good money to be that Marshal's Aide for a day.

Ayo! Shut the fuck up

They're not the only ones that work there.  Lots of clerks, secretaries, security and custodial people and whatnot.  I'd guess it gets enough use.

Did they move the actual courtroom? A long time ago I visited there and I swore the courtroom was on the "ground" floor, which could be the second floor when you get to the top of all the stairs.

Any court needs a bunch of clerks and security guys, and I'd imagine the Supreme Court needs a lot more of both (at least for a single courtroom) given the importance of their cases. Throw in some people maintaining archives, a few IT guys and other techs, etc, and I'd imagine it takes a few dozen people to run the place, not just the 9 justices.

Their police department alone is 145 sworn officers. In the building itself from bottom (janitors) to top (justices) it is probably many hundred people.
