It was an accident.  They don't need to be subtle.

Not an accident. Someone snuck the messages into the manufacturing system as a joke. Good on them, I've put hidden messages in some of the code I've written.

Subtlety is a thing of the past. We're in a post apocalyptic world now.

/if you use that word literally

Lol this. A good one was the texture artist sneaking penises into almost every part of State of Decay. Hooboy they had to totally change engines, models, textures. Kind of ruined the company.

/ some joke.

I fire people that put hidden messages in code or sample data. Seen things get through QA too many times.

I was doing a demo of a catastrophic system for a group of generals and some yahoo had loaded the system was all kinds of offensive test data. I get that these guys have pretty much seen everything but that wasn't a good time to look foolish.

My Dad is 68 this year and uses the Oculus CV1 I sent him a couple years back to play Elite: Dangerous and IL2 Sturmovik nearly daily.  He thinks VR is awesome, as do all the flying buddies his age he's talked into buying Oculus/Vive/WMR headsets.
