You get to keep it for a year and then are supposed to return it to the club so you can wear it when you're on the property. Rumor has it that Gary Player "lost" his during the first year, so he may have 2.

Much like no one "wins" the Stanley Cup because they end up handing it back eventually anyways.

Green jacket, gold jacket, who gives a shiat...

It's like you directly quoted from an article about this very same topic.  Fantastic research.  Glad you made it here.

I didn't get to play in the Masters because of a technicality (my invitation was never sent), so technically I didn't win a green jacket at the Masters either. Where is my news story?

He still got laid in the alley behind IHOP after the match was over, though.  He's still the master of that.

You seem...tense. How can I help? How about if we go out to lunch and talk?

Do they keep the winners' jackets separate from the rest of them? If someone with the same measurements as Tiger had won, would he have donned the same exact jacket? Or do they stitch your name inside once you win, so you know it's yours?

That would be an empty flask-sized bottle of Smirnoff.

I think they use a members jacket that's close for the ceremony and then have one made.

Kinda lame you just get presented your old musty jacket as a multiple time winner.

It's not like these things are the Stanley Cup or some other singular trophy. It's a green jacket. Let Jack have a locker with 6 of the damn things. Let Tiger have 5. Embroider the year on it if nothing else.

Even more reason to love Gary Player.

They are identifiable somehow (not sure how) and are kept in the "Champions' Locker Room" which is a separate room from the "Members' Locker Room".  Supposedly every jacket from every winner is in there.

And it would be more tent like than the others.
