That's one of those self fixing problems.

Good pun. Not a great pun, but not a Dad Joke and a bit above the cut for Fark headlines.

Technically it's a figure of speech, a zeugma or possibly a syllepsis. Fancy Greek name and high Scrabble score.

I once amused myself for a brief moment by finding Greek technical and scientific terms that would make Good French aristocratic names.

Chiasmus. Electrophore. Aneurisme.

Zeugma and syllepsis - Wikipedia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeugma_and_syllepsis
In rhetoric, zeugma and syllepsis (/sɪˈlɛpsɪs/; from the Ancient Greek σύλληψις , sullēpsis, lit. "a taking together") are figures of speech in which one single phrase or word ... two sentences could be taken to deploy a different figure of speech, namely "ellipsis" ... The verb "conquered" is a common element in each clause.

Wrong tag. While someone dying is usually sad, when you commit a crime and do so stupidly your demise gets upgrade to Funny. It is what Darwin would want. I hear that he had a spectacular sense of humour.

This. I was wondering what the sad part was, then I found out he also caused a power outage. They didn't say how many people were affected or how long it lasted though. I'll bet this moron killing himself made a whole bunch of people late for work. That's pretty sad.

Hope it was one of his favorite things.

He was from Bathurst, NB, birthplace of the McFlurry. I'm betting it was a McFlurry.

A fence around a substation isn't there to protect the substation.

His current life was shortened. He just couldn't resist. The first to respond were said to have been impeded in their quest to re-energize him. The coroner who arrive at the scene said that it was was revolting. OMG - Ohm-my-God.

I used to know a guy named Tommy No-arms. He had no arms beneath his elbows. The moral of the story is that high voltage is dangerous. I saw him change a tire once though, that was pretty impressive.

Stealing material out of a functioning application that required manufacturing/work to build/install it so that you can sell it as scrap is a property crime that just particularly rubs me the wrong way.

First responders then attempted to resuscitate the man, according to Const. Ryan Aube of Bathurst Police.

I wonder if they tried a defibrillator?
