Good for him to find another job so quickly. He deserves it.

Couldn't wait to get completely disassociated from the dumpster fire that is the Lakers. My team has gone to shiat since Dr. Buss went tits up.

Now that BBB is clearly running things in LA, the rest of the league might as well give up for 2019-2999

Because he's a good coach.  He just got caught in the crossfire of not getting LeBron the accolades he wants.

I'm not sure why Sacramento felt it was necessary to fire their coach to begin with.

Straight Outta Wells Branch: I'm not sure why Sacramento felt it was necessary to fire their coach to begin with.

There were rumors of interpersonal issues with both the front office and core players.  Also, his lineups and rotations were just strange and seemingly not aligned with the long-term vision of the team (why wasn't Marvin Bagley starting?  Why was Harry Giles barely seeing the floor early in the season?)

Good coach, team on the rise, hopefully the playoff drought ends next season.

They had to snap him up before some other team jumped at the chance to hire his .300 regular season coaching acumen.

He was probably done the second he had that meltdown on national tv at Buddy Heald for hitting a long three in a close game against the Warriors. Best visual: Kevin Durant asking Heald "what's up with your coach?" -right in front of the coach.

fark, wanted the Bulls to go after him, but that franchise is farking doomed. They're trying desperately to take the Knicks spot at the bottom of the turd pile.

That's been going on for decades. I'm still stunned by the management wanting to destroy the team when Jordan was in his prime - it looked from the outside like they were jealous that Jordan, Jackson, and Pippen got the credit while they felt they'd done all the work. Things seem crazy in Chicago.

Walton put together a 98-148 record during his three seasons with the Lakers
they fired head coach Dave Joerger earlier this week after three seasons and a 98-148 overall record.

He went 39-4 when he filled in for Steve Kerr with the Warriors. Do you think the quality of the players on a team might have an impact on their overall record?

Glad he got out of that mess, but I hope he gets back to the Lakers some day. I'd also like to see a healthy rivalry between the Lakers and Warriors before I die, but won't be holding my breath any time soon.

And Mike Brown is 12-0 in the postseason as head coach of those same Warriors.

I don't know for certain the Walton is a bad coach based on his Lakers stint, but I don't know that he is a good one either.
