Holloway is looking to become another two-division champ in a rematch of his February 2012 featherweight bout against Dustin Pouirier.  Poirier won that fight by first round triangle/armbar, but seven years is an eternity in MMA.  In the co-main, the heavily hyped Stylebender faces a tough challenge against Gastelum's wrestling.  There are fewer big names after the main and co-main, but most of the fights look pretty solid even if they're lesser-known fighters.

As it is a stupid ESPN+ PPV, I'm going to have to find somewhere to go fishing.

With all this "we must have two-division champs everywhere" stuff, how long until someone practically kills themselves to try to become the first 3 division champ by doing 3 title fights in a year?

I don't see it any time soon, but I'm worried we aren't that far away from someone trying it.

Yeah, I'm afraid MMA is moving toward the stupid boxing model, where you need multiple titles.    That's part of the reason I'm leery of the talk of adding weight divisions

Flappyhead: Two vacated titles? When did Dana hire Vince Russo as head writer?

As far as I know, only bantamweight is vacated (due to Dillashaw popping for EPO).  I think Khabib (suspension until July for the McGregor fight aftermath) and Whittaker (abdominal surgery) are retaining the lightweight and middleweight titles, but they're doing interim belts as well since neither are expected to fight soon.

I like Belal. Game and talented fighter and he fights during Ramadan while Khabib takes off 10 months out of the year for it.

What's with the scoring tonight?  29-26's and such are odd, that would mean losing a round and getting 2 10-8's...and we've seen that two fights in a row.

I think that 60$ ppvs in 2019 are unacceptable no matter what the platform. Especially since the alternative just keeps getting easier.

Side note, ESPN does not have a plan for Bars to pay for the events so it is up in the air if this event will be shown at bars.
