The Irish whiskey market is positively thriving - and we'll drink to that.

Yes, because beer is something you can drink at many occasions where drinking whiskey makes you look like you really have no control over your life anymore.

No wonder, Irish whiskey is mostly disgusting swill. The only thing Jameson's is good for is putting in coffee.

I drink a big variety of beers but in the US market see very little originating from Ireland even in the specialty stores. It's Harp, Kilkenny's, Guinnes, and Smithwick's,  Murphy's but that's about it.
I do like Murphy's a lot though. That's Sunday breakfast  before satanic church beer jk

A drunk gets on a bus and asks the conductor how long the trip is between Limerick to Cork. "About 2 hours," says the conductor. "Okay," says the drunk "then how long is the trip between Cork to Limerick?" The irate conductor says to the drunk "It's still about 2 hours, man. Why'd ya think there'd be a difference?" "Well," says the drunk, "It's only a week between Christmas and New Year's, but it's a helluva long time between New Year's to Christmas!"

Jameson isn't that bad, but no, it's not in the same league as the 15+ year old Scotches. Of course, it's always funny around St. Patrick's day when a fifth of Jameson costs less than a 500mL bottle. The BevMo guy just shrugs.

It'll never become popular if they keep serving it in a jar.

In New Orleans I got a weird car bomb that was a pint of Guinness with a double of Jameson, no Bailey's. Which seems to kill the point of drinking one fast but I chugged it anyway.

like the corner seat. Darkness, Solitude, an eye on the room, and alcohol? Hell yeah.

Yeah, it's... ok.  But give me a nice Islay instead, thanks.
