"Mooooom. I'm hungry!"

"Hush. I've been working on this for two hours and the lighting has to be just right. You'll get to eat when it finishes uploading."

That's not appealing to children.  It's not bland, homogenous, carbohydrate-covered fat.

/or fat-covered carbohydrates

True. Any normal child would dump that in a heartbeat in exchange for fish fingers and chips.

Hmmmm tasty. Unsauced noodles and large chunks of avocado. Also, liberal use of plain raw purple cabbage.

It looks nice but it doesn't look good.

Ah, the parent who is too dumb to realize their kid is tricking them to get special food.

Eat the meal, or you get the peanutbutter and nothing else sandwich. If you like, it can be light on bread and peanutbutter.

I will admit, I enjoy looking at pictures of bento boxes that mom supposedly put in their kids lunches.

And my kids would certainly have a blast with them.

Maybe we'll make assembling them a family activity.

1st world problems.

Growing up both my parents worked. So what was served is what you ate. If you didn't like it, well you were free to skip a meal.

Then your kid drops off  their growth curve, then off the whole chart and doctors start muttering something about 'failure to thrive'.

When I met my wife, she had three kids from a previous marriage.

All it took for the kids to eat was me being a better cook than their mother.  I had no problems getting them to eat, but when their mom cooked, they didn't want to eat.  Can't say I blamed them, she was a terrible cook.

Her idea of mac and cheese was macaroni and chunks of melted velveta cheese.

It seems like preparing food art "for my kid" is pretty much a standard way for struggling artists to get their portfolio out to the public via viral advertising.  It's just part of their portfolio.

I've seen a bunch of these now, and I'm pretty sure that  few of them really do this on any kind of consistent basis like they claim to.

Space Station Wagon: 1st world problems.

Pretty much this.  Millions of kids around the world with so little food, who would be happy to eat anything put in front of them, and we have to make food into cartoon characters to get kids to eat.

Wish it would say what food this was made out of. I'm wondering if it's like those fancy cakes where it's all rice crispie treats and fondant

I think the only people she's making the food more appealing for is her followers on IG

Ew. None of that looks "good" to eat. Cool art, sure. But not delicious-looking food.

So that kid has never had a hot meal?
