Water? Gross! Any self-respecting breakfast eater knows to drown your cereal in beer. Geez, people!

I never preferred it, but sometimes we were out of milk.

Author and YouTuber John Green (The Fault In Our Stars, Looking For Alaska) eats cereal with water, too.  I can't understand how anyone can do that, but there you go.  He's not alone.

An article about an article about an uninteresting someone doing something slightly odd.
We have too much internets.

I agree, subby. Why eat it with water, when the proper way to eat cereal is to grab a handful and eat the food dry until you eat enough to reach the toy in the bottom.

I just skipped eating if that was the only option. I tried it once.

1% milk is the same goddamned thing, except with some sort of additive that makes it somewhat opaque and whitish.

Not a fan of milk, but water?  I just eat it by the handful out of the box.

People who can't afford cereal sauce.

Yeah, when I was a kid, they thought I had a milk allergy -- so I ate cereal with water for a week or two. Not terrible, but you definitely don't have a desire to drink the cereal gravy.

Yes, it was disgusting.

I do.

I was poor as a kid, so we had powdered milk. To stretch the food dollar further, we were only allowed to mix it at a less-than-skim milk thinness. I can attest that watery cereal is shiat.

No, you know what pisses me off?  5% "light cream."  5% isn't "light cream," it's "heavy milk."  My work started buying this for everyone's coffee.  I went back to buying my coffee elsewhere every morning until such time as they get some actual cream.
