We use garlic in many of our recipes. It just tastes good in many. Not all, but many.
Where was I going with this?

Fark that. Garlic is tasty but it lingers. It comes out in your B.O. and makes you stink. I only eat it on a Friday or Saturday night with friends so I don't show up to work like Pig-Pen.

Not a big fan of it raw. Cooked, it is awesome.

One Christmas morning as a teenager, I dragged myself out of bed and got a plate of pancakes handed to me. Freaking awesome, right? But grandma made them with garlic (and not just a little, she was obsessed with garlic for a while). We just smiled and let her do her thing. Then the whole family dumped the pancakes in an empty box when she wasn't looking.

Took me a while to get back to enjoying garlic but now I love it. Just not in farking pancakes, lol.

Does the raw trick work with elephant garlic?  No way will I eat the regular stuff raw.  Cooked it still gives me gas, but if I eat it raw the dogs object to the smell.

Old Saying
"A nickel can get you on the subway, but garlic can get you a seat"

Roasted in the oven in olive oil, smashed and then smeared on crusty bread is awesome.

I have been known to munch on raw whole cloves and they do have a nice sting to them, but yeah.

And if you roast it enough, it softens and is spreadable like butter.

That's why you don't see any vampires down in Gilroy, California. It's a reason people are moving down there from Silicon Valley. One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach - all the damn vampires.

Also, floss your teeth. Apparently, gingivitis and dementia are linked.

So, if you're already a vampire: floss those fangs.

I eat garlic pretty much every day and I have never been bothered by vampires. When combined with hot peppers like habaneros and ghost peppers, you'll be shooting flames out both ends.
