Just waiting for them to hit the stores. Or maybe a trip up to Chocolate World in Hershey-they usually get stuff first. I'm not fond of Hershey bars, but I DO love me some Reese's...

I do like Reese's, despite the fact that they've shrunk to about half their size over the years.  But I'll keep an eye out for these.  I do prefer more peanut butter; one of the reasons I don't much care for the Big Cup is that the ratio of chocolate to peanut butter is a bit skewed towards the chocolate, and, let's be honest, the chocolate surrounding their peanut butter cups isn't great.

I'd like to be able to buy the peanut butter wafers and then dip them in a good dark chocolate.

More crappy chocolate that is waxy and bland.

or

More crappy peanut butter that is over sugared and has non-peanut oils.

No one wins. No one.

Take a step up and get the Dove dark chocolate versions, or better yet, make your own with top quality ingredients.

No. Demanding quality and standards in what we purchase used to be a thing.

Before peanut butter cups were cool. You've probably never tasted them.

I love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, but what's up with the shrinking and varying cup sizes? Take your standard American 2-pack. They were 0.9 oz when I was a kid, and after two more cup shrinks they're now down to 0.75 oz. And those "King Size" three-packs? 0.7 oz each. Yeah, that's right. You're getting gypped 0.05 oz per cup. Then there's the Canadian 0.55 oz standard cup size that come in 3's instead of 2's. Because why? Do Canadians prefer a smaller cup size or they just being polite about them not filling their mouth as fully as one from South of the border? These aren't boobs, Hershey! How about a common, unified size?

Ours (Canada's) used to be the same as your 2-packs.  Now they're tiny.  I guess they think they can fool us by making the cup sizes smaller but give you one more in each pack to make it seem like we're getting more.  Nobody falls for it but it's not like we can do anything about it -- it's been happening with products for years now.  The other gambit (most commonly with bags of chips) is to increase quantity size by, say, 25%, but increase the price by, say, 35%, in the hops that the immediate "Ooh, you get more" kicks in before the "Wait, but the cost per gram is more" does.

Use Recess peanut butter cups instead of plain chocolate the next time you make smores.

You're welcome.

Furthermore, substitute the graham crackers for a banana with a V cut out of the top (curved side up); stuff marshmallows and chocolate or peanut butter cups, wrap in foil, bake 'til gooey.  Eat with a spoon.

You're welcome.

Use Reeces peanut butter cups instead of tortilla chips the next time you make nachos.

No need to thank me.

I noticed at the beginning of the year Doritos bags got lighter AND the price went up. Not something that I need anyway so other than the occasional and still reasonably priced giant bag at Costco I simply stopped buying them.

I've done the marshmallow fluffed chocolatey bananas over a campfire. They're wonderful.

That's how the concept of S'mores were first introduced to me -- I didn't even know about the graham cracker version 'til later.  But I then introduced them to my fellow camp mates when I was at a summer camp as a kid, and everyone loved 'em.  I've never even had the graham variety.

That happened with bottles of Coke bottles a few years back, too -- twice.  They did the bigger-bottle-even-bigger-price thing when they switched from 500ml bottles to 600ml.  Then they reduced the bottles to 591ml and the price went up slightly.  Then they just went back to 500ml and the cost went up again.

These are a million times better than Reese's, and not even more expensive at $0.99 for a small bag. They're like crack, I swear.

I miss peanut butter so, so, so very much. Like I would absolutely, if it didn't count, eat a jar. But that wouldn't be  meal - that'd be like two or three days of meals. I honestly question if it wouldn't be worth it.

This thread makes me want to break out the chocolate and peanut butter and make those giant Reese's cups you make in a muffin tin, like I used to do as a kid.

It was one of the first things I learned to "cook", and one of the first instances where I learned home cooking got you more for your money. Why bother getting a package of two measly little peanut butter cups when you could have 6 of them that were the size of your fist?
