If your German industrial family ended the war with more gold and fine art than it had at the start, you might be a Nazi

One of the worst things I heard about the supposed high-moral, "hey, we aren't Nazis" German Navy was the U-boat crews wore nice new socks made of human hair.

Now it could have been pure-bred Aryan hair but the German Navy did produce Reinhardt Heydrich.

Yeah, I clicked the article to see if there were more brands they owned than just the ones listed in the headline but it turns out I already don't use or consume any of their products and never have. Except for a few Krispy Kremes a few years ago when people brought in doughnuts to work.

So, I'm good on the boycott front.

/parents had a Volkswagen beetle when we lived in Germany
//that's probably okay since it was 50 years ago

It might be true the extent of the involvement might not have been spoken about since the 1950's, but the general outlines?

This. €10 million out of a €19 billion fortune is like someone with $500k in assets giving $250 to charity.

Only a creepy wealthy German family would make their progeny sign contracts to stay out of trouble once they turn 18. WTF!? So if Hans gets drunk and gets arrested for Oktoberfest nakedness are his parents going to sue him?

/ A lot of Germans are all kinds of messed up.

Bayer Inc and Bayer AG  or separate companies.  They broke off from Germany before the US entered WWII
