God forgave all those perverts and sinners.

But isn't it funny how He only seems to forgive the ones that are useful to them?

Thank God, pun intended, we were spared a Duke-Liberty matchup.  Not a big enough meteor in the universe for that shiatshow.

Ha ha!  People actually pay thousands of dollars to attend this glorified church camp.

I wish there was an accredited Madrass in the NCAA and they matched up against Liberty.  Now that would be a shiatshow.

I can think of at least 20 extremely politically incorrect ideas for a skit of that.

Fans of any school hosting Con Man Jr.'s "college" team here should relentlessly chant "POOL BOY" from tip-off to final buzzer.

Certainly you're allowed to compete.  And everyone else is allowed to hope you lose by 100 points.

If your views include hiring those that willfully ignored harmful treatment towards women & carry extreme prejudice towards the LGBTQ community to the point where the abuses are possibly unlawful, then perhaps you shouldn't compete.

The "wrong views" at issue here are hiring two men -- one who worked to provide hookers for his players and another who turned a blind eye to a culture of rape -- to mold young minds on Liberty's holier-than-thou campus. So go ahead and defend that.

It just never occurred to me that they would have one. I kind of look at them as a quarter-step higher than University of Phoenix Online.

But I guess they need to give those kids some balls to play with to keep them from playing with balls.

They don't accept federal aid, so they can ignore virtually all civil rights, and they have a ready-made pool of sheep who will cut out their own kidneys to sen their spawn there.  Plus they have the Jesus Humper Accrediting Association to keep them away from actual education goals.  How can you not imagine this a grift?

I heard a progressive preacher one time talking about the issues with churches, politics, and those who defend them relentlessly despite all child rape and whatnot.  He said that for all the talk about living 'like Jesus would' that these people preach day in and day out, their overt influence on politics made him think that when push came to shove, they would be the Romans and not Jesus up on the cross.

Well, look at the guy running the school.  Falwell has bent over backwards to defend Trump after 2 divorces, 5 kids from 3 different women, multiple allegations of sexual assault, and paying off porn stars and playboy models.  What Freeze did is nothing compared to Trump.

Not-so-cool-story-bro:  Two of my cousins went to Liberty U.  One of them married her classmate. Went to the wedding last year.

It was... uncomfortably obvious that the best man had a long-standing crush on the groom. His toast involved a lot of recollection of intimate roommate moments ("I loved seeing you without your shirt on"), weird loss imagery inappropriate to a wedding ("This is where we all have to say goodbye to the way things were and accept how things will be from now on"), and he had to cut the speech short because he broke down in tears.

Those poor kids.

More like eight-step.  My ex got her Ed. D. from Liberty.  She literally chose Liberty because they had the cheapest Ed. D. program in the states.  But hey, she's a teacher so once she got the diploma her salary automatically went up, and her pension - if she doesn't get canned...again - is based on her final year's salary.

/She also became a teacher specifically because of summer break.  Y'all might be surprised how many people are teachers because of summer break.
//Can't argue with having a pension, wish i had one.
///A lot of the people in her doctoral program were dumber than corn in shiat

Had a relative who went to Liberty. The have an very fine nursing program and she got a full ride and was very nearly recruited by Team USA's soccer team until a career-ending injury (her Now husband is a pitcher working his way through the minors with a shot at The Show...also played for Liberty).

I've been on their campus a few times and it's like nearly any D-1A school in terms of facilties

but that's the Secret: Almost nobody understands what Liberty U really is.   It's an Online for-profit diploma mill that built a Campus and is building a sports program to give it respectability and have nobody look too close at it's degrees

It's enroll ment is variously reported as 50,000 or 10,000 but besides the HUGE sports complex the Campus is actually pretty small and there are only about 750 students on Campus.   The majority of their online students are "divinity" students as well

Other than that it's a well-regarded liberal arts college in Portland, not particularly, sorry. In my day it was kind of considered a hippie school but I'm sure that was an overwrought stereotype.
