Well, in theory, if lots of people are getting coffee, then the coffee should be fresher and better. So this sort of thing could be a way to kickstart a virtuous cycle.

The coffee is fine, as it almost always is at fast food places.  The real travesty is fast food places that don't sell fresh brewed tea but rather sell one of the prebrewed and packaged teas.  That stuff is sadness in a cup.
