Not starting Guardians 3 until 2021? I don't know, to me a 2022 release means it's going to feel like an afterthought, not like a vital part of Phase IV. Meanwhile DC gets Harley's movie and Suicide Squad in that timeframe, they scored.

I'd signed a Change.org petition to reinstate him, and they emailed me to let me know it worked.. eventually.  I guess some people at Disney just didn't want to admit to being wrong.

My theory is that Disney intended to bring him back from the start (or at least they decided months ago to change course without saying anything) but they didn't because they didn't want a public feud with a bunch of CHUDs to endanger their acquisition of Fox.

If there's one thing you can rely on Disney for it's to maintain their brands quality.  They're willing to play the long game for a couple years if it means more returns.  Unless the brand will make plenty of money with mediocre quality ala Cars.

Yes and half the jokes in Deadpool are about all the crappy superheroes Ryan played before, like GL, the guy from Blade, and Deadpool.

HA! It actually took me a second with Affleck- then I remembered DARDEVIL.

However, Daredevil isnt part if the MCU in that movie, so maybe that's why it took me a moment.

The other thing that stood out to me- if the script is written, and was originally intended to be part of the early cycle phase four movies, but now is late stage phase four, it certainly points to the Gaurdains movie being more standalone, with little or no impact towards the MCU as a whole

The next major Avengers film will seem to end on an impossible cliffhanger, where an all-powerful villain is poised to triumph. The post-credits scene will have that villain suddenly and utterly thrashed, with Squirrel Girl rather modestly shrugging off the praise that everyone gives her for handling the threat.

Do you not understand how Fark works?

Let me 'splain.

1. Pick a side
2. Everything the other side does is bad, even if it's good
3. Everything your side does is good, even if it's bad
4. You're obligated to mock and call out anyone on the other side ("farkied in piss yellow" is a popular way to do this)
5. You're obligated to incessantly point out how good your side is, and how much you support them ("I've already got tickets for the new _____ movie and I'm going to see it four times just to show 'them'")
6. If no one from the other side actually says anything, you have base all your comments on the presumption that they eventually will (e.g. "Wow, whole lotta incels in this thread" for a thread that contains 2 comments).
7. Open conversation and consideration of other ideas is strictly forbidden.

Read the rules, OK? It's less fun for everyone that way.

Mulan was a dead cat bounce. ENG and Lilo & Stitch were B-efforts that hit unexpectedly, because Disney paid so little attention to them that they managed to have some remaining creative spark.

I will remind you that the previous Suicide Squad movie was one of their more financially successful movies, and it was a mess. Imagine how much more money they are going to make with a Birds of Prey movie AND a Gunn directed Suicide Squad movie, both of which should be major improvements on the first SS movie.
