(SeattlePI)   Dear Carolyn: I was seeing a therapist for my PTSD. He laughed a lot, dropped F-off bombs, and kept bragging about himself during sessions. My new therapist is encouraging me to report him, but maybe he just didn't like me. What should I do?   (seattlepi.com) divider line

Listen to your new therapist.

Report the motherfarker!
I've been through this kind of thing myself. You deserve quality care, not the rantings of some narcissist.

Doxx him. Tell a local media outlet.

We received counseling for over two years before ultimately divorcing. I discovered two years later that my ex and our former therapist had been having an affair since probably before our divorce

You have to have some issues to literally watch the pain of a marriage falling apart while being part of the cause.

About the rest of the story, yeah report that person. If you want to be degraded and ignored as you share your feelings with a licensed professional, talk to the IT department.

When did Donald Trump get a therapist's license?

I had a similar experience with a counselor  when he said "I use to counsel in a max security prison, so I am sure I can counsel veterans."

Just turn it off and then on again.

I was thinking talk to a good dominatrix - but that can get expensive fast.  You'll quite possibly enjoy the process more, though.

I don't know. Dump him for sure, but I'm not sure I'd like to deal with the tangle of reporting some shrink to other shrinks. I have PTSD, and an interesting story involving a couple of shrinks contributed to it. I tried to report one of them for some ethical stuff.

I did though, and I found out later that he got into some trouble. Which helped me not at all, and I"m not sure it was worth it. He's still practicing and doing fine.
