Oddly enough, it was only Lori (a Democrat) who bribed people to get her daughter into college, and she was the only one of the two who was charged with a crime.

Of course he says that. He's a wealthy American. In America wealth is a virtue and poverty is a sin. In America anyone who is rich is seen as hardworking and industrious, even if that person inherited all of their wealth and privilege from their parents while anyone poor is seen as lazy even if that person works multiple jobs just to make ends meet.

That's true only if you're a Republican. If you're wealthy and a Republican then you're a boot-strappy, job-creating paragon of the American Dream.

If you're wealthy and a Democrat then you're a left-coast ivory tower elitist who's out of touch with red state America.

I don't even understand the whole thing.  Why pay $500,000 to get your kids into the school when it was clearly evident that they weren't even actually attending classes.  It seems highly unlikely that the girls were all of a sudden going to turn over a new leaf and start being studious to earn their degrees.

Would have been easier and a whole lot less criminal to just hand the two kids $250,000 each and let them do whatever they wanted with it.  Then again, with the kind of money that some of these people have, they probably bribed the schools and handed their kids $250,000 and it still didn't make a dent in the interest of their bank accounts.

Let me tell you about my character.

He is a philosopher redcap. He likes Go, and uses the teeth of his dead rivals as pieces.  His wife was in a popular tv show. And while other redcaps make fun of him, She is his true enemy.

They didn't do this for the benefit of their children.
They did it for purely selfish reasons, i.e. so that they could tell other people that their children were attending a prestigious(?) university.

These are people that spend their whole lives pretending to be something else, but actually believe that is some kind of accomplishment in life.   They are more interested in the image of something than the reality of it.  They actually believe the big lie that "perception is reality."  So if people perceive that their kids are super students at prestigious university, making them super parents of super students at prestigious university, then they believe that is the reality.

I tell every one of my kids that if at the end of their lives, their major accomplishment is "I was on TV" then they've failed.  Be a doctor.  Be an astronaut.  Be a scientist.  Hell, be a plumber or a trash collector.  You will still have contributed more to the betterment of mankind than *any* actor, ever.

I think there's also a level where they want their kids, however unworthy they may actually be, to be able to lord a prestigious degree over other people as "proof" that they're more valuable to society than other people. In my experience there are a lot of complete idiots out there with degrees that use them purely as an ersatz shield against their own abject stupidity.

Enough of this cowboy shiat! Ya farkin' ho-dunk po-dunk well then there MOTHER farkER!!!

Before you react, let me point out that that was merely a choice quote from the award winning cinematic masterpiece Tales From the Crypt Presents: Demon Knight. Let it serve as an example that a text-only post, minus an accompanying live video feed or photo stream demonstrating a real-world freakout, does not stand as irrefutable proof of either freakage or outage. Overpunctuation may be a grammatical sin, but it is not acceptable as a standalone indicator of anyone's mental state.

I love my Mossimo Target jeans. They were the best made pair of jeans I ever had...they lasted about 10 years until they finally frayed apart.  wish I had bought more than one pair of those jeans.

And Everybody shops at Target. Where the hell do you think all those friggin cargo shorts come from...and the Marvel T-Shirts ?

Because of this ludicrous double-standard they've created that says anything short of abject poverty in a dirty sackcloth means you're a hypocrite while trying to right inequality.

It's a stupid narrative, but anyone dumb enough to accept it doesn't care.
