When I was at college, my roommate and I went to a funeral in the morning to bury the head of our department. In the afternoon, we were part of a friend's wedding.
When we told people what our plans were for that day, they all said how it was like the movie and laughed. When we showed up at the wedding looking morose, the idiots shut up real quick.

The wedding was for a pair of blind friends who married each other. Once they got married, their level of derp went from manageable to completely insane.
1. They gave up a cat with feline leukemia when she got pregnant because they really thought it would crush the baby.
2. Always complained about the welfare cheats and the lazy people while they were on disability.
3, Evangelical as hell once they started banging and ended up moving to Florida.

Seriously, has anyone really asked this question?

No, I didn't think so.

Her lustily toneless singing in this sequence is one of the most adorable performances ever committed to film:

I recently wrote a (snail mail) letter to Simon Callow after reading his excellent biography of Charles Dickens.  I was quite surprised that he actually wrote back (with a suggestion for another book, which I bought and just arrived in the mail today).

She really took my breath away.

I'm old enough to remember Charlotte in both Worzel Gummidge and as Maralade Atkins.

But also in Oranges are not the only Fruit. I had tuned in for the obvious reasons, but her incredible performance made me forget all about the boobs by the end. Gone too young.

He also wrote a biography of Orson Welles that was rather good.  At least the first volume was; I never really got around to Vol II.

Apparently he's up to Volume IV for the Welles bio.
