That's a little misleading. I don't remember him as a prominent skateboarder and I'm the right age.

you can be a skateboarding legend without actually being a prominent. my guess is they arent using it as a verb

I skated mid 80's to early 90's, and I have never heard of the guy.

My son, who skates now, mentioned the guys name last week saying he was leaving Thrasher and how it was a big deal. When I had no idea who he was, my son thought i was an idiot for not knowing him. I just read the magazines, I never would pay attention to who the farking editor is. That and I had already stopped skating when he took over.
