Top 5 things:

1. Good bed, sturdy frame
2. Comfortable place to sit
3. Dining table for two. You can keep a folding table in the closet.
4. Vietnamese fark basket with trapeze accessory
5. A nice Davenport

Makes sense to me, subby.
Sean Hannity's head is bound to come pretty empty and unfurnished.

I like the minimalist approach and the place comes w/ kitchen cabinets, likely bathroom cabinet and bedroom closet for storage, so a bed, a low dining table you sit on the floor to eat at, a good size flat screen (47" min.) mounted on the wall for watching Fox "News", and a sweet comfy couch long enough to sleep someone 6'3".

Bad idea.  The last thing you want is someone else's style in your home.

What would you propose as a replacement? Sometimes there's no simpler way to explain that the thing, concept, or process under inquiry is in fact fully and precisely bounded and exemplified by the thing, concept, or process under inquiry.

"It yam what it yam"?
"It be what it do"?

"Sorry, not sorry" is contradictory.
"It is what it is" is redundent and facile.

What's the stupid part about the phrase, "living rent free?" As a metaphor, it works perfectly.

This. And the subtext is "I accept that this is not an ideal arrangement, but do not believe that a superior alternative is practicable."

It comes up a lot at work. People like to gripe about things we have no control over. At some point you gotta move on and address the parts you CAN control.

The furniture all dates from the 40's and 50's, and in covered in a strange mixture of sebum, KY jelly , cigar ashes, cat piss and Cheeto crumbs.
And a train rolls by a midnight shaking the place to it's  foundations.

The thing I love about articles about twitter is the embedded tweets never work, regardless of whether or not I have adblock enabled.  So I get to see "And then this guy weighed in with a HILARIOUS tweet" [blank space] "and some people actually gave good advice" [more blank space]

Good article.

You could just say nothing.  It would convey the exact same thing, but then you wouldn't get the satisfaction of babbling on and on about meaningless bullshiat no one cares about all the time.

Hmm... first 5 things....

1) A good, solid, comfy farking bed that doesn't squeak.
2) A good, comfy farking couch for when you aren't in the farking bed.
3) A farking table to put in front to your farking couch... you need a place to put farking things.
4) Some farking chairs for people who are hanging out...
5) A farking rug to protect the floor and your knees.

Kids these days, no focus or priorities...

No, not at all.  Try saying things like "it is what it is" or "this yellow wall is yellow".  Or say nothing.  Try all three a bunch of times and ask those remaining around you which one they prefer.

Marshmallow Jones: Well she don't need bookshelves

It's 2019. Bookshelves are for showing off books you didn't read but that you hope others will judge you positively for should they see them. Most avid readers have realized they can carry an entire reference library plus almost every novel ever written in their pocket.

In this day and age if you have shelves full of books and you aren't just using them for show, donate them.
