Is it wrong that the first thing I did was check the Fake Charlie Whiting on twitter?

It's going to be sad on raceday without that account.

Funeral procession etiquette of staying single file and no passing will be observed.  Just like a F1 race,

If it is, you're not the only one who's wrong; I'm sure.

RIP Charlie.

Charlie and Sid are basically why we tune in to see who won* instead of who died.

*It's Mercedes or Ferrari, sorry to spoil Sunday for you

There's nothing wrong with Charlie, except that he's dead -- M.W.

Will Buxton's F1 Paddock Pass has gone up. The first segment is all about Charlie and Will barely got through it.

That's terribly sad - and from a pulmonary embolism, no less.  He was one of the constants of the F1 circus who seemed to be held in universally high regard by everyone; this is a massive loss for F1 and the global racing community as a whole.

OH NO, NOOOOO!!!!!

They should have an aborted start in his honor

He was probably the most important person in the whole ridiculous circus for decades. All the money, the egos, the scheming, dealing with shiatheads like Bernie and Max but the show went on thanks to Charlie. That's a huge loss.
