Jason Mendoza will be fine. He'll just go from yelling "Bortles" to "Big Dick Nick"

Breaking: the Jags are considering signing a previously unknown QB, Jake Jortles, to a backup deal.

Poor Derek Bortles.

You won't see that again soon.
Mostly because the Steelers are now terrible and won't make the playoffs, let alone have a home game.

My favorite Bortles moment was the Sunday before that, when he literally ran for more yards than he passed for, and still won. That's got to be a playoff record for a QB.

Good luck, Blake. You were... something else.

Remember when he came very close to beating Tom Freaking Brady in the AFC Championship Game if not for Kraft's check clearing?

He even had more rushing yards than Leonard Fournette that game. Whoa, wait a sec-- he had more rushing yards than all three RBs combined (Grant, Ivory).

Over? Over you say? The Bortles era over?

Both Elway and Gruden are still alive. IT AIN'T OVER!

Not sure why, but I have a crazy soft spot for that show.

"Any time I had a problem, I threw a Molotov cocktail and, boom, I had a different problem."

It's so logical...

Yes, if you consider Brady eventually losing to a journeyman backup QB in the Super Bowl the happiest ending possible for everybody outside of New England.

Or the Pat's as Brady's.

....and Brady gets injured in the 5th game, Bortles goes 9 and 2 as his replacement, and the Pats win it all again.

\heads exploding everywhere outside of New England.
