So, somebody gave you a copy of an email sent from some guy who said he talked to Giuliani, and the email said Michael Cohen "had friends in high places".  I guess it's pretty serious.

Because Rudy is the kind of attorney that can take a client needing help filling out a simple will and end up shrugging as the judge orders said client to be executed via groin kicks delivered by the entire field of the last nine Kentucky Derbys.

Yeah, I'm not sure how this is "tampering", even if it is legit. It's basically the same as a parent telling a kid when they get arrested that they're gonna go get a lawyer. Giuliani is a farking moron, there's no question about that, but I don't see the "crime" here.

The mob boss doesn't actually have to tell his underling to murder a specific person for them to know that he's supposed to murder a specific person.  Why would this be any different?

Not sure if expert witnesses are still a thing in this kakistocracy but DKIM email signatures are pretty solid. It's like a DNA test for email.

"What do you mean, 'big'?"

"Well," says Egon Spengler, the science geek of the original Ghostbusters crew, as he holds up a Twinkie.

"Let's say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of Obstruction in Trump's world. According to this morning's sample, it would be a Twinkie 35 feet long, weighing approximately 600 pounds."

Wait. Can you cite an example of this?

You're saying if I'm a mob boss, and I said to a guy in an email pick up some eggs on your way to the office, and then the guy murders somebody, I'd be on the hook?

You really think that's how the justice system works?  Trump makes you people crazy

Of all the lame deflections that get dribbled out by Trump's sad unlovable lackeyworms, "TDS" is the lamest. He's made the country objectively, observably, measurably worse every single day since his inauguration, and to be alive is to be forced to notice it. "No, you're just deranged! The house isn't on fire, those are Freedom Sprites dancing up the wall! Quit being an alarmist!"

Trump doesn't love you. He will never love you. He would throw you and your family and everyone you've ever cared about under the bus in a heartbeat in a fit of demented pique, not even as a matter of saving himself. The rest of us will continue to notice and discuss his sprawling horribleness because it's embedded in our shared experience on the planet right now.

That doesn't make sense. It's witness tampering if the attorney for the US president tells a witness not to worry about going to federal prison because the president can pardon federal crimes.  Neither you nor any attorney you hire can make that claim.  It's an entirely different situation all together.

Did you read the tweet? It doesn't say that.

It says this other attorney said that to Cohen.  Nothing that Giuliani himself said is even quoted or hinted at.

Anyone can make that claim. We all know that the president can pardon anyone. He didn't tell Cohen anything that we all didn't already know.

But to make it stick, legally, a prosecutor has to display clear intent.  Unless there's something juicy in the email, proving intent isn't a lock.  I know we all want Trump to go down but stuff like this email is blown out of proportion.
