Hey, he came for her, and he bailed her out. Now, I don't care who the hell you are, that's love, right there. If your man comes for you, and he bails you out of jail, he loves  you, man.

I see the same little details I saw in another article: the payments to change the SAT scores were disguised as charitable contributions so the parents could deduct them from their taxes. Just when I didn't think I could get any angrier I see that.

Could my parents deduct any of the cost of installing a chair lift so my disabled mom could get into their home? Nope. Can rich people take fake deductions while helping their idiot children cheat? Yup!!

Those that need the help the least, are the ones who write the tax code.

I wonder how much they're going to have to pay to avoid prosecution for cheating on their taxes? Oh the humanity.

Prof. Hearst: Teachers are taking bets on what's next for you, Gallagher. College: 10 to 1. Prison: 4 to 1.

I hope he really didn't know anything about it.

As a married man with two children I find it virtually impossible that he didn't know about this.

I'd at least expect my wife to give me a heads up when committing crimes, but maybe I'd prefer if she didn't.

So I can understand that being a celebrity means you lose a certain expectation of privacy.  I can ever understand that when your outiside a federal building people will wait and record you, but how in the hell are people allowed to record you inside one?

In one photo it's clear the photographer is even being yelled at.

johnny_vegas: Wait, they paid 15 grand for their daughter to get a 1420 on the SAT??

I think they went back to a 1600 point scale. So that would put her in the ~95th percentile depending on the distribution of scores for this year's test takers. From what I read yesterday it was a FOUR HUNDRED POINT improvement on her original score.

Pretty good value on $15,000 considering Loughlin and hubby paid something like $500,000 to get their daughter into the University of Spoiled Children.

From The Daily Fail:

Whut?!:
- 'The acclaimed actor wore a blue grandfather button down jacket over a white dress shirt with no tied. He added jeans and brown shoes.'
- 'Macy, who is known for his sunny demeanor, looked like his thoughts were elsewhere as he failed to crack a smile or even look up much'.
- 'There is no indication why Huffman was charged, but TMZ reported that Macy and both their daughters were asleep when agents arrived to arrest Huffman at 6 AM.'

Christ, reading anything from The Daily Fail hurts my head. They must be paying Drew a lot.

1420 is a fair score but not a good one for universities like USC and even Chapman when you are talking about their film school. It really doesn't play for Ivy's, Stanford, etc.

The algorithm you sent your job application/resume to thinks it's worth something, unfortunately.

The article that came out this morning says they flipped some rats, and Felicity is on the wires, while William isn't.

Scores must be inflated these days - when I took it, I think that was 99th percentile.

So many of the people that were arrested were husband & wife, so I just thought it was weird that he hadn't been arrested along with her?

But what seems odd to me, if they had to cheat to get their kids in, wouldn't it become obvious in the first year that these kids were morons? Unless they also arranged to have someone shadow them & do their classwork for them?

The tests dont measure how smart you are, they measure how good you are at taking tests. It correlates to intelligence because being smart usually makes taking tests easier to master, but it's not definitive. There's s lot of other factors that go into testing.

Grades are a much better measure of scholastic performance, but the way this country funds and evaluates its schools is so asinine there's no reliable standards in grades.

So no, getting a 1020 on the SAT does not make you a blathering idiot incapable of keeping up any more than getting a 1420 makes you a serious student capable of self direction and possessed of the discipline required to succeed.
