(Of course, a hole-in-one is always an eagle. Or, on rare occasions, an albatross or condor.)

"For my own part I wish the Bald Eagle had not been chosen the Representative of our Country. He is a Bird of bad moral Character. He does not get his Living honestly. You may have seen him perched on some dead Tree near the River, where, too lazy to fish for himself, he watches the Labour of the Fishing Hawk; and when that diligent Bird has at length taken a Fish, and is bearing it to his Nest for the Support of his Mate and young Ones, the Bald Eagle pursues him and takes it from him.

With all this injustice, he is never in good case but like those among men who live by sharping & robbing he is generally poor and often very lousy. Besides he is a rank coward: The little King Bird not bigger than a Sparrow attacks him boldly and drives him out of the district. He is therefore by no means a proper emblem for the brave and honest Cincinnati of America who have driven all the King birds from our country..."

Those smaller birds thought the eagle had stolen their egg. The eagle hid it to come back for later. Sorry, eagle.

It is only a short time until trump tweets about his glorious hole in one, aided by an eagle with a tear because America!

That may not be a genuinel hole in one, since he stood there filming (waiting) instead of attempting to play his next shot.

If it is known or virtually certain that a player's ball at rest has been moved by an outside agency, no penalty is incurred and either the original ball or another ball must be replaced at the spot that the ball was moved from

"Despite the rules of golf saying I need to replace it (which I did and missed the putt), this will still go down as my hole in one story for life," the filmer wrote.

The eagle was probably watching you suck at putting on the first green and figured you needed all the help you could get.

They looked like crows.  Crows love to harass other birds for shiats and giggles, especially eagles.  I watched a pair of crows essentially force an eagle to fly right in front of my car when I was doing 65 on the interstate. :-/

/no I did not hit the bird, but it was damn close

I have you farkied as "Wealthy stud with a huge penis". I had forgotten why but now I remember - it's because only a wealthy stud with a huge penis would have such an encyclopedic knowledge of the rules of golf.

Only a Freedom DuckTM could bring such good fortune. A Canada Goose would have just chased after the guy when he approached the green.

That was cute.
My third time playing (learning) golf I watched one of the guys ahead of us make a hole in one. The guy I was with had been golfing regularly for 25+ years and had never seen it done live. He was exceptionally good but that was still chasing that hole in one for himself.

There is nothing more stately than watching bald eagles scavenge the months old carcasses of half-frozen deer as they thaw out on the side of the road at the end of winter.
