Just finished taking Lucky to the vet for vaccinations and a checkup.  Other than a few teeth that will eventually need extraction, she's in great health for a 16 year-old.

I think I will have a glass of 15 year old scotch to toast her!

The important question here is single malt or blended?

Very smokey/peatey and a great slow drinking scotch.

It's around $70 a bottle so while it's not cheap, it's still reasonable for a once every 3 months' purchase.

This is Lexie, also giving the Force stare "You will give me your pizza."

Fun fact--I let her lick my empty beer bottles a few years ago, and suddenly she got a taste for EVERYTHING that contains wheat, including pizza.  And of course, beer as well.

At least one of my kids leaves crusts, so the Lexie and her compatriot Mollie get the "pizza bones."

Last weekend I got Whitney a little sister and partner in crime. She's not thrilled about having a puppy around, but is warming up to her now that it's been a week.
Here they are watching the Neighbor Show together. Whitney at the top, and Valkyrie at the bottom.

Meet Molly, who's about 9 weeks old and very small.

She's a pup with a lot of energy and an insatiable need to chew on things.  Trying to get her potty trained is a challenge because there's still a ton of snow in the yard.  But the weather is warmer this week and local meteorologists promise we'll be able to see our yards again soon, so I'll try to get her transitioned from indoor pee pads to going outside as soon as possible.  Will try to rush her into the yard after naps or when it looks like she's sniffing for a spot to go, give her some positive reinforcement (treats!) when she does her job, and hope for the best.

On topic - I have to be careful with any alcohol, because Whitney will steal it.  When I first moved into my new house I made myself a white russian, and left it on the cardboard box I used as a coffee table while I went into the kitchen.
When I came back out, Whitney was eyeballs deep in my glass, gulping down my drink.  Now whenever I have one, I'll let her sneak a couple sips.
However, I noticed with the new puppy, she is VERY interested in my drinks.  I think I adopted another booze hound.

Neither one of them has shown much interest in beer, but I would definitely consider something like this.  Much healthier for them than the real stuff!
