Just bribe with petty cash, that's a hangin.

The only reason it's a crime is because the bribe was so small.

"There can be no separate college admission system for the wealthy and there will not be a separate criminal justice system either," Lelling said. "We're not talking about donating a building so a school is more likely to take your son or daughter, we're talking about deception or fraud."

I took the SATs twice, first time in the 900s, second time a 1010. Good enough for me. Got into a good school.

It does seem to be one of those "Have a little class about it" laws, where as long as you don't openly admit you're committing crimes, it's OK. Once you make it so there's no plausible deniability, you're cooked.
