Single issue voting (abortion, guns, etc.) is a farking idiotic plan. Who woulda thought?

Now, once again, for the cheap seats (not you, Edmo):

Look, now that the ridiculously wealthy are paying far less in taxes, cuts have to be made. Screwing the most vulnerable Americans (again) is clearly the only sensible choice.

Work requirements are such bullshiat.

"Oh, you have a chronic medical condition that prevents you from working, well, better get a job anyway or no health care for you."

Because of course, if you aren't slaving away to generate revenue for some already-obscenely-wealthy-asshole then you need to just get to suffering and die quickly.

Not that anybody is shocked by this - the entire Republican party and platform are built on two things - make people suffer, and steal from them to make the rich richer.

I've been saying for a while that there's no Republican today who doesn't hate the United States.

That's still true, but what I'm coming to realize is that it's not just the United States, they hate all the individual Americans too.

TFA headline: Trump's vision...

Nope, not his. That man lacks the imagination to have anything like a vision for the future. He's just signed a document compiled by Steve Miller. That weasel has vision.

Every Democrat who discusses potential cuts to health care or any other social safety net needs to start their remarks by pointing out it's the tax cuts for the wealthy and tax hikes for the lower and middle class that have led to this point in time. Hammer home that the Trump Tax Hike is the reason you're losing your health care until every man, woman and child is sick of hearing about it.

A fitting punishment for him would be to lose all his money, go to jail for a few years, and when he got out have to survive on the system he wants to inflict on others.
A fitting punishment for his kids would be to force them all to get jobs without using family connections.

No reason to worry. The magic hand of the market will make everything turn up sunshine and daffodils! Just like the conservatives promised, and they've never lied before!

This vision does not come with the difficult "how do you pay for it" questions that plague any Medicare-for-all proposal. But it comes with its own big questions: namely, how are low-income Americans going to get by in a country where they get a lot less help affording basic medical services?

I'll admit I thought Alan Grayson was overselling this back in 2009 and 2010. If anything, I now think it undersells the argument.

Rant;
Dear Pro-Lifers,
The old "But we must SAVE DEM DISABLED BABBYS!!!" move is always a weak move. You care about my life? You're LYING. With the stripping of Healthcare, social security, Medicare and other social programs that help people with disabilities and their families you are forcing families to shoulder this burden alone, and push the families into poverty. Being disabled is expensive. Let's be brutally clear; Disabled children and adults are murdered EVERYDAY because their families are stretched to breaking, their care givers are broke, broken, and there IS LITTLE TO NO help, less everyday, and being disabled is expensive. The fetishization of people with disabilities and Downs Syndrome in particular will only make this worse. Fully fund my healthcare NOW, or shut your G_ddamn mouth about the disabled. The ones you insist be born are dying because low taxes keep your dick hard.

Ironically, the Republican health plan, along with their economic sanctions and warmongering and such, may be what saves us from global warming. We can talk about fossil fuel use all we want, but the simple fact is that there are just plain too many of us, by multiple orders of magnitude. Things that save lives are actually counterproductive. Things that kill people are what can save us.

/Not sure if sarcasm....

Once again, the richest country in the world shows that they can't be bothered to care for their citizens, and the GOP proves that they are miserable, sociopathic pieces of eight schitt. It is farking painful...
(I have my own vetenarian medical plan, and I am not "low income" so I would not really benefit from what I preach)

PlaidJaguar: Work requirements are such bullshiat.

"Oh, you have a chronic medical condition that prevents you from working, well, better get a job anyway or no health care for you."

Exactly the point I wanted to make, and now simply reinforce.

Medicaid enrollees to work, go to school, or be job-searching in order to qualify for health benefits.

This literally means that if you are unemployed, you can just FOAD.
What if there is no work in your trade in the area (plant closed)?
What if there is no school nearby for you to attend?
Don't even bother defining "job searching"...
WHAT IF YOU ARE TOO SICK TO WORK!?

Well, Ivanka would simply release a sex tape, then use that money to seed a reality TV show.  She'd kick the Kardashians off the air, then would resurrect and rebrand all of her signature clothes, shoes, perfumes, etc.  Jared might have a low-level job in there somewhere.

/Yes, you'd look at the tape.

7 figures?

I'm in the heart of Trump country. If you're making over $50k a year here, odds are you're nodding along and biatching about those no-good freeloaders.

You're also driving a truck that costs more than a starter house and that's covered in "friend of coal", Punisher, and Trump stickers, most likely.
