I've been grinding my own butters for (literally) decades, but let's all act like it's some new trend at this one store.

This isn't new. My local grocery store has had these machines for years. Whole Foods had them in the 80's back when they were still a small hippie health food store.

I presume it was gratuitous use of a mundane story for the sake of the Fark headline.

Maybe it was Murphy's, I have worked as a contractor for Kroger from the Atlantic to the Rockies over the past 11 years, I can't keep all their subsidiarys names straight

A long since closed bbq place up here had fresh pb with crackers for an appetizer and beer absorbent. Jalapeño pb is actually pretty good stuff...

hmm. they have one of these at the whole foods near my apt. i used it a few times until one day i watched this kid stick his finger in the nozzle and swirl it around, then lick the residue off his finger, then go in again for another check if any was left, while his dad stood there watching. after that i decided i would stick to the normal stuff that is packaged in airtight jars.
