No one "wants" to go Milwaukee ever. The northern part of wisconsin is the good part and there is an actual city south of it. Attendees will get to know the "smell" of Milwaukee.

They want to go so that they can point to that nifty new Foxconn facility just down the road and see all the neat manufacturing thats going on there so that they can give the appropriate amount of credit to Scott Walker and Donald Trump. As much work as is being done there, it might take 4 or 5 days for everyone to get a tour of the facility.

The "smell" is actually in Kaukauna, Niagara, and depending on how warm it is the west side of Green Bay near the animal rendering plant. Milwaukee just smells like Miller and Usingers

Always drink Wisconsinably.
So the elite mainline dems are trying to woo the working class again after all this time?

"Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!"

Good luck with that.

Why would malfeasance and malpractice on the part of Scott Walker and repugs throw the election against democrats?

Yeah, but Milwaukee and the southern part of the state is where the majority of Democrats are concentrated. Up Nort' is Trumper country.

Actually, Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers were coming here as early as the late 1600s to trade with the Native Americans

The Dems won't win Texas in 2020. They milked that whole damn state for Beto and still lost to Hu-Man Ted Cruz. Easiest path back is winning back WI, MI, PA, maybe getting Georgia & Iowa. Texas loves their derp too much.

I was wondering the same. You do know that Snyder and the ones behind the Flint crisis were Republican, right?

Sure Jan.

If Beto is a VP candidate the GOP is still going to spend millions on a state that should be an automatic get. Propping up Ted Cruz is one of the biggest reasons the GOP lost the house.

And get beetroots in Racine. Madison would have been a better choice if they wanted people to be excited and have fun  going to the convention. Is the safehouse still a thing there.

I live in Madison, myself, but have been to Milwaukee a few times. Great place. It's not quite Minneapolis, but it's good. Give it a chance.

In 2020, yeah, Wisconsin is more important since there is a chance of the Democratic candidate actually winning.

In 2040, things will be a bit different.  Hell, once Texas permanently flips, the Republicans will never win the Presidency ever again.  But that ain't happening in 2020 (even if Beto was the nominee; remember, he couldn't beat Everybody Hates Ted there).

Milwaukee has its charms.  It has nicer museums than you'd expect from a city its size.  A nice lakefront.  Awesome frozen Custard.  Decent brewery tours if you stay away from miller.  You can catch a Brewers game, or visit one of the summer biergartens.

I lived there for five years.  That being said, I hated being there the last two.  It's incredibly segregated and some of its white inhabitants are as racist as anybody I've met in the south.  Its crown as the most segregated city in the nation is reason enough not to have the convention there.

But the city does have SOME redeeming qualities.  I hate to see it maligned like you just did.  It's even worth a visit in the spring or fall, when the weather is nice.

I lived Chicago as well, but as I got older I found it a pain to go there.  Parking is expensive as hell and taking the El isn't always an option.  The magnificent mile is awesome, the museums top notch, and millennium Park is beautiful as well.  But once you've seen it a few times it's charms are down to cubs games and good food at its various neighborhoods.  I'd rather live in Milwaukee and visit Chicago whenever I like than live in Chicago and deal with the expense and the traffic.

Both cool cities in their own way and I would recommend everybody visit them.  I wouldn't want to live in either anymore though.

Republicans destroying midwest states are a big reason itll be tough to win in a lot of those places.  Millenials flee to states that dont suck leaving the states to become redder.

Yeah but the Dems refused to treat the Flint water crisis like the national disaster it was, and the Dems also let Walker get away with eliminating public unions.

They dropped the ball on both.
