Narrator: Even as it slid into an obese, diabetic hellscape, the dimming American civilization continued to pursue pancakes in every corner of the culture, eventually adding alcohol to pancake batter.

Health tip: If you're trying to cut calories, just skip the maple syrup and pour Jameson's directly on your pancakes.

Except for the fact that this is an Irish company promoting their Irish product on an Irish website. This shtick is already stale, hang it up

Come on, seriously? Jameson's is mass produced crap, kind of like an Irish Jack Daniels. Surprising that it doesn't come in a plastic bottle. I guess there is one thing that it's good with, coffee.

After looking at that recipe my heart longs the days when both my age and blood pressure were lower.

A quick calculation of the sodium content of the bacon, salt, baking soda, baking powder, milk and eggs shows just under 5,000 milligrams of sodium for the whole recipe, which is actually less than I thought it would be.  It doesn't say the yield but a similar recipe I've used says it yields 8 servings but in reality it's more like 3 so call it 1,600mg per serving.

Hmmm.  I may have to try making these, although it would mean no more sodium for the rest of the day (or drink a ton of water)
