I was at a professor's party one time, he was telling me how his house had been designed by one of the major Bauhaus architects after the Nazis kicked him out of Germany.

And I said,

"And everyone says the Nazis were illiterate boors. It just goes to show there's some good in everyone".

He didn't quite catch it.

Dreadful. Bauhaus work was so very much better, and so very NOT just about appearances.

/grumbly old fart who still loves Wright, Saarinen(s), Kahn, Corbu and Mies
// every sooperstar architect since and including Johnson is a one-trick-pony hack
/// especially Piano, Gehry and Hadid
/V not everyone wants to live/work in a smokestack/trashball/space vagina
