Would you settle for having an egg fertilized in a pop-up tent trailer?

Collecting eggs isn't easy. She has to pump herself full of hormones that make her produce a dozen or more eggs rather than simply one in a cycle. The ovaries can get to the size of softballs. It's painful and the hormones can really mess with your head. Then they have to suck them out. They go through the vaginal walls guided by ultrasound. Remember they're after specific individual cells. So if you're going to do this do it now as the drugs work far better when you're young, but get some competent professionals to do it. You also want a place that can keep them frozen for a decade or more without forgetting to pay the power bill.

If you want to organize a pop-up egg donation, people call the coops.

I thought about offering pop-up gynecological palpations-you know, as a free public service-but then thought better of it...

Just remember you can't choose your patients, not sure how "pop-up" it might be.

Here's a hint: Start looking to have kids earlier. I know it's not fashionable or popular, but just because you froze eggs doesn't mean you're going to be able to:

1) Get sperm from a man or donor you like (see what's happening in Britain for something that actually has nothing to do with Brexsh*t, although Brexsh*t will make it worse)

2) Actually carry the baby to term.

and toss this in as an incentive

The longer you wait the higher the probability the kid will have some other developmental issue

My last daughter without kids is nearly finished carrying (UnnamedBaby1), that so far appears to be a regular healthy baby girl. My wife and I are happy beyond belief, the pregnancy (while no pregnancy is pleasant) was uneventful with no serious problems seen for mother or baby. A big chunk of that is that our daughter is reasonably healthy and younger. Not as young we started, but not close to 30.

I know this isn't fair, but science can't fix everything right now. Heck what it can do is never even guaranteed so don't count on it if you want kids. Yes a 50yo guy can run around knocking up 20yo-30yo women with little (if any) issue and no medical help. Mother nature starts removing fertility decades earlier, and the chance for problems rising significantly after age 30, for women.

Please consider freezing eggs as a last resort option only. Now if you truly want kids don't goof around, go find someone to have kids with, not Mr. Right Now. Frozen eggs are an "oh shiat I really couldn't find anyone" kind of resort. I'll give you a hint, nobody is perfect and marriage (if you want it) is hard work.

Oh and guys, don't string women along. You know (reasonably speaking) within a year if you're going to be able to tolerate a woman in and out of the bedroom. Just because you (usually) have the luck of not worrying about creating a kid before 40, doesn't mean you should string them along. Don't look for perfect, or Mrs. Right Now. You think the relationship is for fun, let her know. Yes you'll probably be dumped, but you'll not be wasting her time on a relationship that's going nowhere.

Sorry too serious for Fark probably. I just have some friends who recently found out that they'll likely never have kids of their own, even after spending a shiatload of money on fertility treatments and whatnot. After she is done processing the grief, he's open to adoption, but he already has a kid so it's far more devastating to her.
