There are a lot of good candidates.  I would love to see the primary winner pick the runner up for VP.

aw, man, Biden, if you weren't already in your 70s...

oh, who am I kidding?  If you get the nom, you get my vote.

/maybe he knows something about his potential longevity that we don't?

I'll probably go in another direction in the primary but if Biden wins I'll vote, donate and volunteer.

Not Biden/Inslee in the primary.

Generic D in the general.

This. I'm voting D no matter what I. 2020, but I wish he wouldn't run. He's going to be 79 years old on Inauguration Day. We have plenty of younger qualified candidates with more progressive ideas who will actually have to face the consequences of their decisions in their lifetimes.

And you know how every time you see RBG's name in a headline, you hold your breath hoping it's not because she died? Imagine spending eight years doing that with our president. And that will happen. If Biden completes eight years in office, he'll be leaving at 87 years old. That's older than Turtle or Feinstein are now.

The Democrats could nominate a moldy sandwich to run in 2020 and it would probably win. The question is if we want to nominate someone from the wing of the DNC that took control of it in 1992 and then ran it into the ground. They've lost the House coontil recently) and Senate along with too many state legislatures.

Shamelessly stolen from another farker from a previous thread.

Except if he dies his hand picked vice president succeeds him and not a conservative justice.

I wish our electorate would stop equating old with not progressive, socialist with un-electable, and their opinions with facts.

I found this using "creepy joe 2015" as my Google search term and this was one of many stories including pieces from Time, WaPo and the NY Post.

"The this running"?

2019-03-06 02:28:24 PM
Is corriendo the right word?  It seems like it's not.  "Run" has so many definitions in English, that it doesn't easily translate to Spanish, and I'm pretty sure "correr" is mostly used for, you know, running.  With your feet.

I have heard it used. But in proper Spanish you'd said that he "presented" himself as a candidate "Se presento como candidato" or there's the word "postular" which can mean to "postulate" but can also mean to be nominated or presented as a candidate. You "run" the campaign though (corriendo una campan~a).

To be honest it was an editing mistake. There isn't a hidden message there. I didn't delete one word properly. I'd make a horrible newspaper editor.

Biden's VP will be important.  But Unlike RBG, if Biden dies we know full well who will be president.  So i'm not that worried about Biden winning.  I like him, he will have my vote in the general.  I'm torn atm for the primary but we will see after the first debate or three
