Welcome back for another edition of the Fark Weird News Quiz, where we test how well you were paying attention to the weird news or out enjoying that one beautiful day in the last month when most of the country was in the 70's with mostly sunny skies.

We wound up with two different questions on Nutella this week, which makes me wonder about some sandwich spreads. How many people can really taste the difference between mayonnaise and Miracle Whip on a sammich? Is Marmite (or Vegemite, if you read upside-down) really a "sandwich" spread, since everyone I've ever known who eats it just spreads it on toast, thereby not fitting the definition of "sandwich" since there is only bread below and not above? Is it still a "spread" if it comes out of a squirt bottle like at Subway, or in most fast food restaurants? Why does Sonic classify their #1 and #2 burgers as separate sandwiches when the only difference is mayonnaise versus mustard?

These are the mysteries one ponders when forced to put on a shirt to leave the house and can no longer gaze at one's navel.

Anyway, winners from the last quiz and Easiest Hardest are in the NotNewsletter in your email inbox, or you can check out the comment thread.

Don't forget the Easy Quiz!

Good luck, and if you have any issues with the quiz, please reply to this comment.

Man I suck at this. 442. You think all the time I waste perusing Fark I could do better even with calculated guessing.  The only one I recognized was about spider fossils.

Ummmm....

...Carter was born in the Brooklyn borough of New York City and was raised in Marcy Houses, a housing project in the Bedford-Stuyvesantneighborhood.

I also disagree with my wrong asnwer - in my supermarket chicken is 50% off normal prices.  Bacon is basically down only because they earlier raised the prices 40%

You are correct, he was born in NYC. However, that answer didn't match the rest of the question.

In any event, I've changed that to a different answer.

This is currently nationwide the lowest price in decades. Chicken is about even over the past couple of years.

The best pork prices are on uncured, unprocessed fresh cuts from the butcher section. You can get chops for $1.39/lb. in many areas. Since bacon must cure and can be preserved for far longer, it's not as affected as fresh cuts to price fluctuations. Also, McDonald's buying up a buttload for their bacon promotion helped stabilize the bacon market and keep its price from falling even more.

The difference between mayonnaise and Miracle Whip? Mayo looks cream colored, and tastes great. Miracle Whip is the color of white paint, and tastes of nothing but vegetable oil and failure.
