PETA would rather kill a cat or dog than take a few days or a week to rehome it. There isn't a fire hot enough for them to walk into slowly. Especially after this tweet. Go pet a hungry lion PETA. Become one with nature.

These farks are no better than the westboro baptist church. Just making a scene for the publicity..
They've always been pretentious and hypocritical asshole's.

/I'm alright with their nude protests (bit of emaciated eye candy), but still just really want them to die of exposure...

At the tender young age of 10 I tried to take down a Black Racer that was longer than I was.  The racer deserved to kill me, and yet here I am.

For every can of paint they throw on a fur, they need a can of ebola blood sprayed in their face.

I hate animal cruelty. I've even cut my meat consumption for other proteins because I do have problems with how large-scale livestock is treated. But PETA can shove its head in my ass and lick my prostate. They're self-righteous nutjobs and are no different from a religious cult.

And I know religious cults. I used to be a Mormon.

Who cares what PETA thinks?

They just want attention.

Used to be?!!!

If the Mormons have their way, we will all be baptised after death.

/not that I think it matters.  Nothing left of me to care after death.
//also kind of torn, most of my family's (and all of your) genealogy history is stored in a damned Mormon basement somewhere.

I went through a lawyer to have my name taken off the records with a notarized proof. They won't be baptizing me again, because I cost them money.

As much as I hate "none of it matters" posts.... I mean really, cmon, it's a cult.

rule of law vs perceived law of god?
There's another book somewhere off record.

That's the nature of extremism. Most of the time there is a reasonable idea or concern at the core of it which is then taken to, well, extremes. It's reasonable to want to treat animals humanely. PETA then push that idea far into the absurd leaving the basic sensible idea far behind.

Your post gets the rare 'both' from me, Tom Bombadil.

Query: is it worth it to locate and read the Tolkien "Tom Bombadil" book? I always thought he was an interesting character, but "The Silmarillion" bored me to tears. I am asking, because you should know.

Yeah, they don't actually say he deserved to die.

Their msg is on point though.
Wild animals aren't entertainment props.
Whenever possible they should be left alone.

The mean, he's dead. PETA can talk shiat about him all day and he won't care. The people who would care are his family...which is why it's crass (not that PETA has standards). They are kind of like my aunt who likes to trash my father when I'm talking to her as if his drinking problem somehow hurt her more than it did his children. I know that he wasn't a good father but still, don't do that.

Largely useless organization which employs many people with useless jobs.

But year after year, PETA enjoys significantly-increasing revenue. They've demonstrated the aphorism "any publicity is good publicity", and if it means potentially offending many people in order to reach out to more prospective donors and keep the money coming in, they'll continue the dubious PR stunts.

The "Tom Bombadil" character had huge potentialities.
The cold dry dissection of imaginary ancient history and dead elvish language, not so much..

I think for all the good PETA does/tries to do, their radicalism and assholishness sets them way way back.  Of course, then you get to the possible pet kidnapping and the "euthanasia" of 70-90% of the animals that come to their shelters, with at least one being injected the day of their arrival, which violates the 5 day waiting period set forth by Virginia.  So... fark them.

It is my opinion that we could use a lot less radicalism these days.  Everything is so damn divisive, us against them type mentality and it is so incredibly stupid.  Compassion and the ability to understand the motivations and meanings of others, not immediately dismiss them as an extreme.  No one will be ideologically swayed by being attacked, so what is the goal of these aggressive organizations?  Gather more like minded individuals while further alienating themselves?  I don't get it.

But in the meantime: fark PETA and ALF.
